Hello. I’m pleased to have purchased two sets of WIDI Masters. These two sets are pairing up nicely between hardware keyboards. I’m also using one set for playing keys on one of the hardware keyboards activating software instruments in GarageBand and another app on iOS. However, I also use Logic Pro on board iMac. I understand WIDI Master is not suitable yet for use with iMac. I endeavour to use hardware keyboards to record midi signals onto midi recordable tracks on logic pro combined with my iMac meaning I wish to record instrument sounds from the hardware keyboard(s) via midi instead of recording in audio where the sounds from the external hardware keyboard can be heard during playback. Following the recording in midi and playback, I’m aware the recorded data can be recreated in audio. Which cable and or device do I need to record from 5 pin din to USB and or is it possible to use WIDI Master in conjunction with another device?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out. And great to hear your current WIDIs are working for you. Basically there are two options:
      1) pair WIDI Master with the built-in Bluetooth of macOS: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-1834a9b1f72
Please note, as you run multiple pairs at the same time, you can create small groups of two, also named fixed pairs, to avoid random auto-connecting: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-1834add1fd2
      2) You can add WIDI Uhost or WIDI Bud Pro to your macOS via USB and connect up to 4 other WIDI devices wirelessly: www.cme-pro.com/widi-bud-pro-start-guide-bluetooth-midi-dongle/
      Hope this helps 🙏💙

m attempting to download WIDI App from the App Store I’ve done successfully onto my iPad. When I attempt to download from the App Store the exact same app on my Apple Mac, it’s not taking me to the same app in the Apple Store via my Mac.

    Dear CME.
I can not get my setup to connect. I have:
One Widi master connected to my Motu Ultralite mk3 Hybrid (Group Auto-learn enabled)
One Widi master connected to my Yamaha MOXF8 (Force peripheral)
One Widi master connected to my ROLAND JV1080 (Force peripheral)
ONE Widi bud pro Connected o my Ipad pro (Force peripheral)
When trying to connect, some of the Widi Masters flash fast with a blue light. The Widi Bud Pro has a constant blue light and the master widi connected to the Motu flashes very fast with a turquise color.
I really need som help figurgin out how to get this setup to work. I have seen almost any guide online but nothing seems to help.
    Please help me.
    Best regards

Hi Søren, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear it is not operating as you wish just yet. What you describe seems like a your WIDI Bud Pro has auto-connected with your iPad. From iOS 16 and upwards, Apple introduces auto-pairing with Bluetooth MIDI peripherals. After creating the group, please turn off your Bluetooth on your iPad and/or remove all WIDI devices from your general Bluetooth device list. Next, restart all your WIDI devices and allow the group you’ve created to auto-connect. Once connected your central device will turn turquoise and the peripherals keep their blue colour. Now you can communicate bidirectionally between the central and its peripherals. Not between peripherals. Hope this helps, if not, please try to reach out directly via www.cme-pro.com/support or via facebook.com/groups/cmeprofans 🙏

Very nice feature, this is one of the things tempting me to buy it. Will the Group have one indiviual midi device via USB or will all 4 BLE be merged into a single device?

Hi, thanks for your interest. You can set any WIDI device as the central (MIDI or USB or BLE), then you can connect up-to-4 BLE MIDI devices in the group. All 4 devices will be merged into a single device wirelessly, just like a virtual MIDI merge.

@@CMEPro thanks for the response. I would've loved it didn't merge, but just bought one anyway!

These things are PURE GARBAGE!!! I've never had to waste so much time on something that refuses to work. Constantly turning off every thing with Bluetooth after the settings are made only to have the units 6" away and STILL NEVER SYNC. The only thing they sync to is the computer, once the Bluetooth is back on. I've made Groups, I've deleted Groups and tried Auto-Learn. I've followed every instruction...PURE GARBAGE!!!!

I am sorry to hear this has happened and you’ve had this bad experience. I can totally understand this leads to much frustration.
Creating groups is an advanced feature, it requires the execution of the entire scenario. We always recommend to explore options in simple mode first, to get a better understanding of what WIDI can do for you, and only expand to an advanced setup based on that experience.
In group mode, a tiny bit of latency us added to keep a stable jitter. I am not sure I understand your explanation entirely, but it reads like this might cause the issue at your side.
Feel free to reach out to us directly and get the support you deserve. I am sure we can get this up and running with you: www.cme-pro.com/support/#tve-jump-183922d36ae
