    Step 1 : Dismantle your entire home.
    Step 2 : Rebuild your home.

    You make it sound so easy! I cant level the house if all my furniture is still in it

      Move your furniture into another room then level your empty space and repeat in the next room.

      So you're telling me you can lift the house but not with your furniture in it? LOL that sounds retarded

      Those jacks don't care, its a good time to put supports in high traffic areas or where heavier furniture is.

    Yup! that’s a big job... maybe it’ll somehow just go away... let’s give it more time to do that.

      Termites will move it over time but then you’ll have to go too . I’m having to do this myself . Materials are about 40% more this year than last year also .

    Ummm yeah no. Thinking this will show a simple DIY project. I'm just going to level the few high and low spots, lay down some new plywood, padding to reduce the squeaks then new laminate. Done!

    • @Mote78
      @Mote78 3 роки тому +2

      In the video I would guess $3-5,000 not counting the cost of the new flooring. The labor and equipment costs more than the material needed. Hire reputable contractors, this is serious work.

  • @wind5250

    This is so long and pointless, If your floor is sagging it's either foundation issues or sag in the joist components .
    You can find every sag point within about 30 min by finding the direction and and position of a joist then using standard spacing measurements and a rotary laser.
    This will let you draw a map of your floor , pinpoint the sag points and by how much they sag. With this information you need to lift the sagging joist and sister them with new joist .
    If it's the foundation related you will need to install piers or fix damaged supports. The house shown in this video is a bad example of what's common , it looks like an late 1800 to early 1900's house that's been repaired or added on to at least once.

      @@nicholaspappagiorgio6103 This video is wrong, all you do is either shim and lay a new subfloor over the old one or rip out the old subfloor and sister up the old joists with the new joists slightly over lapping the old joists until they are all level. Its 40k vs 2k and both are effective
