W.B is a poor state surrounded by even more poorer states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Assam, and the basket case of Bangladesh. They barely can afford a car. That is why you see those old fashioned 50 year old buses plying there. The Suzukis and Hyundais rule the roads 90% of the time. People out there are quite miser with money, cheapos. Suzuki is the poor men's rich car in WB. You can barely see BMWs or Porsche's, even VW or Honda are not that common in Kolkata roads.
