This was loaned to me by a friend but I subsequently preordered one. It performs very well, much better than the Excel Vanguard I have. The 4m version should be great if you've got the hp for it.
Hi again mate. Really difficult question for me to answer, but I'm 37yrs, not fit and weight about the same. I can pull mine up fully loaded on most slipways, although the legs are jelly after, but I do desk work so my legs aren't so strong. Going down is easy, just take your time. Going up, I sometimes carry the fuel tank, anchor and battery box up separately. Surprisingly makes quite a difference. An anchor brace makes life easier. That's just a rope connecting the 3 rings at the bow and side. You can face forwards then and pull it up leaning into the slope.
@@TheReelIsle Of course that's a great idea! If its too heavy just take the engine off! I'm surprised to read the Tohatsu is just 44kg by the way. Seems very credible to drive the whole setup around and launch wherever you please!
In truth I would leave the engine attached in case you have a slip or fall, expensive mistake. Fuel can, anchor, fishing box - anything heavy remove. I usually have a builders rubble bucket with me. Are you thinking of ordering soon? I've asked Boatworld for a coupon code or bundle deal for my subscribers - happy to ping you here when I know more Mon/Tues
@@TheReelIsle Oh nice! Soon yes, how soon I'm not quite sure. Certainly in the next couple of months, possibly sooner. I've paid for my mooring with my Warrior until Nov so Is kind of like to use it for another month or so. But I will pretty much certainly be looking for one of these very shortly so yes that would be handy!
@@TheReelIsle got a 2.7 waveline n 2.3 honda Very easy to handle and im not getting any younger.have to find a compromise. Like a bigger boat n engine bu keep the weight down
Probably not a huge amount more I don't think, I seem to recall someone having a 20 tohatsu on the back and they didn't get much more between 3/4 and full throttle. Perhaps hull characteristics, or one of the other many variables. Airborne Pirates is about to slap one on his tho!
Damn she flies with that 15hp 🚀
Just bought this boat waiting on it coming in , looks fabulous
Hope you enjoy it! This was a loan from a friend - can't wait for my preorder, too!

Im thinking about getting the 4m version. How do you find yours ?

I'm thinking of a 20hp on a 365! Hope I can get it up the slipway. I'm 47, fairly fit and strong, 6ft and 210lbs. Fancy my chances??

I will keep you posted
bit too heavy for me to handle but looks fantastic
With the 15hp, fuel and gear on she's quite the lump to pull up the slip solo!

Agreed that practicality comes first - being able to stay mobile and solo launch is the big benefit of a sib after all
What speed where u achieving 2 up ?
17kts 2up loaded with fishing gear
@@TheReelIslewhat do you reckon it would reach with a 20hp
