I can only imagine the pain of losing Queen Streusel and then going through the agony of reliving it multiple times in order to allow us to share in her final moments. I can’t thank you enough for enduring that for us. You are not reading too much into anything, the herd is in mourning just as you, Lady H, Mia, and all of us are. It was so sweet watching Cookie stand near her bestie for her final moments. You’re not reading too much into anything. As hard as it was to watch Streusie leave this world, it was also comforting to see all the love she was surrounded by. Sprinkles! MarMar! Puddin even behaved herself! Muffin! Drummy! Gummy! Gingie! Few of us will be surrounded by so many important friends in our life when it is our time. And she was held by her human daddy. A Queenly transition ❤ The herd knew.
So true! Queen Streusal is loved so much, I will NO way have that much love around me when I go, probably only my Lord. I didn’t want my Streusal to suffer, prayed for that & God is good.🙏❤️✝️ Will always miss you Streusal, see you again soon. 🫶🫶🫶
Small suggestion. Make a soap in memory of streusel. Maybe a scent of cinnamon streusel cake.

That’s a great idea! I believe that Shawn has an apple cinnamon soap coming out in the fall. Maybe he can dedicate it to Streusel and name it for her. Streusel Delight, Queen Streusel, etc. Or come up with a whole new scent.

Shawn, you did right by Struesel. She was home surrounded by her friends. You held her in your arms and talked to her I'm sure gave her comfort. She knew it was ok for her to go. Cookie standing there, she knew too what was happening and wanted to be with her best friend. I just want to thank you for letting me be a part of it too. I'm crying as I'm typing this. 😭 I'm not sure if it's just me, but I can tell the other goats know she is gone. I think Cookie should become the herd leader and get her a big bell for her collar. When you let Cookie out she stopped by Streusels stall and looked in. It will take you some time. You've had Streusel for a long time. I had to put down my15yr old little Yorkie 2 years ago. I'm still dealing with that. It takes time. Your other goats will give you some comfort. You'll never forget her but the pain will ease in time. Love your videos! ♥♥🙏

For some reason, there was no place to comment yesterday. Happens sometimes. Queen Streusel will leave an empty space. Her pain is no more, she is at peace. Such a lovely tribute showed your love for her. You get through it one day at a time until you learn to live with the grief. Hello Miss Mia. Golly, you've grown!

I had to wait until this weekend to watch these videos because I knew I would relive my losses. You gave her the best life and the best passing anyone could have hoped for. She died surrounded by her herd and held by you, someone who unquestionably loved her.
Shawn the video of you holding Struessel , my chest and tummy were aching everytime hers did and you may not of known but many were crying with you. None of us know how deep it goes for you and H, It must be just excruciating !but quietly, in our own way we loved her too💔

I know making the video of Streusel passing was difficult, but I have to tell you as one who has gone through that process more than a few times myself. I can honestly say it was done with reverence and love and respect. It was beautiful. I will say that every one of my animals have passed at home in my arms. I preferred that to hauling them off to a sterile unfamiliar location and add stress to an already stressed loved one. I loved that Streusel was allowed to pass on her porch and knew where she was, she knew you not somebody in a lab coat. (Granted I made arrangements for the vet to come to my home for the process) I thought you handled it as best as you could, she was not alone, and I loved that Cookie came up on the porch and just stood there. I'm glad Mia is visiting with you also. Good to have life and the energy of youth right now.

The walk in the beginning of cookie made the tears flow. Thank you for your family sharing your home, heart and love of animals with us. We love you and all of this for that. Just remember The Queen will never be forgotten. She will never be replaced. Just because there needs to be a queen she will always stands tall in this herds even if it's from the heavens above!

You are not reading too much into it. The other goats knew and came to pay their final respects and I feel to comfort you. On a much lighter note, my goodness Mia has shot up over a year. I am glad she gets to spend some of her summer with you and H. I can still remember going to my grandparents for a week or two every summer. Great memories for her.

Thank you for showing the passing of strusel. Despite how painful it is, but there is something to be said in the love you have for your goat's and to make sure they never pass alone. This may sound silly but I do this with any of my chickens. 😢❤.x. My thoughts are with you and Mrs H ❤❤

Yes it hurts more but it is the greatest gift we can give them and a responsibility we take on when we bring them into our lives, you did well and as the sharpness of the grief fades that questioning voice inside will be answered with yes 100% it was right.

All of our kids passed at the home that they loved surrounded by those that loved them. Nothing could be better than going to Heaven than being there with them as they became angels!

The hardest part of having animals is when it is time to say goodbye. You love them and become part of them and they become part of you. You allowed her to cross the rainbow bridge with dignity, care, and love. Also with her heard around her. Thanks to you and H for allowing us to be a small part. Cookie will be fine.

I don't think I've seen a picture of Ganache and Brownie before. It was beautiful to see Streusel young and strong. Hang in there Shawn. I know this was a huge loss for you and H. I would have done what you did, Shawn. I would have wanted to hold her close for as long as possible for both of us. I think she needed you there, and you needed to be. Time is all that seems to help us heal, and when we’re grieving, it seems to go by terribly slow. Just know we all love you and sweet H. Our hearts hurt with you.

Shawn, I don't think you are reading too much into anything. Cookie sure was slow to leave her stall, instead you had to wait for her to slowly emerge. Then she went straight to Streusel's gate and waited as if she was looking for the Queen, and I know she was. I've also never seen Frosty Mom stand in Streusel's little corner hang out spot, and that is what came to my mind before you even said it. The herd is certainly missing their queen. They were so keenly aware of what was going on as Streusel slipped away from this earth all while being cradled in the loving arms of her devoted Dad! They knew. They knew! They knew and came to show respect. It was so painful to watch the beautiful tribute you made for Streusel, but, I'm glad you were able to fight through the pain to put it together in her memory. I imagine it was therapeutic, yet painful, to look back on her life and pull video and pics from your files and to relive her painful passing! You're right that it is so very hard to do what you did to hold her through her agonizing passing, but, yet you wouldn't want to be anywhere else and would regret if you had not had the opportunity to comfort her and love on her as she crossed the rainbow bridge. It took a lot of strength for you to hold her through it all and it took a lot of love. Thank you for being there for her in the way that you were and for letting us witness the very private moments of her passing and the very raw and painful emotions that overcame you! I felt your pain and your loss. I'm glad Mia was there to help you gather stones for Streusel's grave. It sounds like it was also hard for Mia to say goodbye to Queen Streusel. I pray for God's peace and comfort to be with you and H. as you grieve your loss of your precious Streusel! Your video was truly beautiful, Shawn! You did right by your beautiful Goat Queen!

One Day At A Time
Wish I could afford a nice plaque for Streusal grave site, some nice ones were sent by people to the Morrow gang for many that passed. They made a memorial garden. All babies deserve a plaque of their “dash” (ex; 2016 - 2024) the dash is their life. She was so beautiful, lovely girl & 👑.💔❤️🐐❤️❤️🙏✝️

Hi Miss Mia!! Funny I was wondering last week if we were going to see or at least hear her this summer. I know you want to keep her time on the channel limited. I think Cookie will be ok, she knew something was up. I had to laugh when Cookie back her butt into Sugar Pie's face. Poor Sugs didn't need that.🤣 The love fest between the beach ball mamas is always cute.
