It's interesting that Vai adapted to Fripp's NST by fingering. They're still not as tight as Crimson was back in the Beat era but it's so fun to listen to. I really hope they come to Europe as well.
none of the songs on this tour were written for NST. fripp didn't adopt NST until after 1984, and didn't begin using it for king crimson until THRAK in the 90s. every guitar part in discipline, beat, and three of a perfect pair were written in standard tuning, save for adrian tuning up for a handful of songs on three of a perfect pair.
