A couple of years back I went to one near us, and there was this older guy there and he was very good: one of the best in the circuit. Suddenly I recognised him as my licence teacher from about 25-30 years before. He taught me so well I remembered hi after all that time, even though I was a cocky young punk when he taught me.. He'd been an Army despatch rider and then instructor before being a licence teacher.
Years and years ago, well about 35 yrs ago, a top trials rider whose name escapes me, was challenged to sit on his bike. For as long as he could. Damn, I still remember the pic of him in CYCLE magazine. Bike shut off, he was on the side of slight grade. After an hour I think everyone said, Okay. He was a leader in the sport for over 15 years IIRC.
the bikes aren't particularly heavy, and they know their bikes, so they know the points of balance and they have hours upon hours of training time under their belts
Trial Bike Riding is big in Europe and the UK. Notice that there is no seat on the bike because it only gets in the way. Your sense of balance must be impeccable. Skilled riders will almost seem to float as they stand almost still on top of rocks; balanced bouncing will resemble someone on a Pogo stick. Your throttle control, clutch, front and rear braking techniques must be precise and synchronized. Look up videos of championship riders and prepare to be amazed at the skill older riders have.
That are "Trial-Bikes" and you can buy it by a dealer from Sherco, Beta, GasGas, JotaGas ore Montesa Bikes!
Fantastic! Love watching these experts fly.
usualy how much cc does their bikes?

I had my mouth wide open till the very end!
Die Motoren haben bis zu 300 ccm und sind größtenteils 2-Takt Motoren. Nur die Honda hat einen 4-Takt Motor.
do you have to switch gears on them too or do they only have the one? doesn't seem like they need many since they don't go fast.

how much heavier are actualy dirt bikes compared to these trials bikes? i thought they were normal dirt bikes at first.
die Motorräder haben eine normale Kupplung und ein 5 oder 6 Gang-Getriebe.
does anyone know what these types of bikes are called? they look like so much fun and i wanna buy one!
Sind die dinger im strassenverkehr zugelassen? Oder währen sie es theoretisch?
Awesome! Perhaps, in my next life, I'll work up enough courage to actually try the trial bike and be good at it.
how much does this type of bike cost??
How did all of you guys get up on that some are straight up! its MAGIC! whoaa!
Gibt es bei solchen Wettbewerben eine Hubraum Begrenzung? Und was für motoren werden überhaupt gefahren?
In which country is practicing this sport??
In Europe, Japan, USA ..........
their "trail bikes" and they're built for this stuff, if you notice there is a big plate on the bottom of the frame to protect the motor from big hits
Do they "loose" if they touch the ground with their feet ? Looks awesome, but way to scary

zu schwer, zu schlechte Übersicht, zu warm - kein Luftaustausch da Geschwindigkeit zu gering!
@TheDateableGuy
Those are "Trial machine".Really fun!

Oh man, those bikes start at over $7,000! Never mind...
Yeah, I guess it's so they can see better. Regular dirtbike helmets make it hard to see what's right in front of you.
det is not real or
theyre 180-200lbs, my kx450 is roughly 255 wet
they keep their balance point at the same spot so they're able to keep their feets on the pegs.
Poor guys can't afford to buy seats for their bikes! It is a cruel world...
