@Ante Herco I would say ac bh, maybe even ac2. Don't get me wrong, I really liked AC3 but it was not even close to being as good as ac2. Bh felt more like a DLC. I just think they lack the passion they had in the first 2 games, now they only care about money.

Goodbye Kassandra, you're one of the best protagonists in the series and after 2000 tragic years of keeping the Staff and repeatedly watching the people you love pass on, you deserved more respect and a better ending than what you got. Rest easy, and thank you for an amazing journey.

The fuck is wrong with Layla?! She's an ex-Abstergo employee, turned Assassin. She hates killing, but is willing to do it. She's a great follow up to Desmond. We had YEARS without a main protagonist. Now they're getting into the whole bloodline storyline regarding the hybridization of humans and Isu, which sorely needed elaboration. We finally got that with Odyssey and it's DLC. This is a great game, and Layla is the perfect character to tell it through. Unlike in the games between AC3 and Origins, this protagonist is actually genetically descended from the characters we play in the Animus. That aspect was necessary to tell the story of the franchise. That's why the franchise started to get "stale" after Black Flag. We had no main protagonist. That's something vital to the main story.
Layla bragging about the staff and saying "face it, the templar's have lost" was so cliché. I cringed

Man I feel like there was several missed opportunities to incorporate a lot of the other characters into this and really have your choices mean something. Like, if you got the good ending maybe Deimos and the family could have assisted in saving Neema, and fight the Order if you played as Alexios. That would have added to her redemption maybe or if Neema dies you see her in the underworld. These expansions feel so separate from the main story lines.

I dont really care about Layla, the game is good overall. Just finished this DLC and its amazing, not only is the game very well made, but its also a long game which makes it more fun since you can play the game and still have so much stuff to do. Im 60+ hours in and I still got some quests to do. Even if you finished all quests you can still fight in 4 Realms, the greek world, Elysium, Underworld, and Atlantis. Which each of the 4 Realms have different enemies!, the greek world consists of Spartans and Athenians , both Elysium and Atlantis consists of Isu , and the underworld consists of Souls and Fallens (fallens are the mercenaries of the underworld). So yeah the game is lit

the game is good , its a long game aswell , offline game so you dont need internet to play! , has good DLC , can fight different kinds of opponents , has 4 different realms consisting of different enemies. Hope you guys have fun playing ^-^

Honestly, that's a part of the story we never needed to see, and we're all the worse for it.

The shroud is incapable of straight up resurrecting the dead. Best chance Desmond would have is the Ankh and even that is a bit of a stretch.

It's official, Assassins Creed Odyssey is the franchise's worst game to date. How come a game that sells the DLC does not end in them? I was playing the last DLC and thinking that we would finally see the end of it.

Even if you like the new games, think about this: In ac1 ubisoft decided not to put a crossbow because of historical inaccuracies. Now you can buy Unicorns for real money and fight monsters... I do like the new games (dont think they are great, but they are fun) however I really wish they weren't assassins creed. This feels like they are using the name for sales. And I don't know what the devs can do now, they could either reboot it (but we lose the good stuff, like Ezio or Altair) or continue this over complicated story.
Mister Toad i feel like theyll do one more story with Layla and have her sacrifice herself hopefully to save the world or some shit and reboot the series with how insane the plots gotten and the missteps with fresh people. Theres so much left to do but the modern day story even with this is so botched. A lot of the lore is cool Kassandra and Aleitheia are fascinating characters and you could still do a lot of the other greek gods or of course norse gods as the hints are saying but still damn. Way too messy and seems too off base imo

Ubisoft is ruining this series. Despite how much I love Black Flag and Origins the series should have ended after AC3. The Assassins Creed franchise had a chance to redeem itself after Unity and Syndicate, and sure we got Origins which was good but Odyssey. Odyssey literally made the writing and lore for the franchise even worse. And there really is no turning back, Odyssey already caused enough damage. If Odyssey is cannon to the AC series. Than there is no going back, the Assassins Creed series is FUCKED!
Unity was a good game. The gameplay of unity was really good but the bugs ruined it. Unity failed not because devs didn't work hard it failed because ubsioft rushed it. They could have improved from unity and make a better game,but no we got syndacite. A mockery of ac. Unity could have been best assassins creed gameplay-wise and it was the right direction franchise needed,if only it had little bit more time in development.

Writers or scenarists, whoever came up with this weak AF story, they should be fired. This is pathetic.
Or... There is an even better idea. How about community will seize the entire Assassin's Creed franchise from Ubisoft and rebuild it? We could get Desmond resurrected by the rogue Isu with some broken artefact. Imagine the possibilities.
Jesus fuck get over it. Anyways, from my understanding of the lore/Isu messages from Origins and Odyssey, time travel will be a factor. Alethia is training Layla how to use the Staff plus the Animus in order to alter history to prevent the solar flare from destroying humanity (since Desmonds sacrifice just postponed it, upset the natural order). Layla is the one who would break the node or break the loop (call back to Revelations) of humanity being destined to be extinct and destory all of the Isu’s artifacts so the war can finally end.
If time travel is what they’re aiming for the Desmonds sacrifice could be undone as well and maybe Layla is the “Eve” that Sixteen told Desmond to find.

I Loved Ezio, loved Desmond, Liked Kassandra, hated Layla... AC Revelation and Legacy of the First Blade ep 3 the best ending scenes
Just beat the game today 100% platinum trophy and all I have to say is that I really hate Layla. She’s a sociopath. Literally only cares about herself and glory. She’s suddenly an assassin who “doesn’t kill” like tf bitch how does that make sense. Then. She killed her friend and even after regaining consciousness she still didn’t give a fuck. And now she hold one of the most powerful pieces of Eden that can destroy the world. I really hope she turns back to Abstergo and becomes a major antagonist and that we get a new character who will bring justice to the modern day story. That’s the only way to make Layla interesting again and to to untuck the whole modern day. The only real assassin here is Yoshi or whatever that Japanese dudes name was.
So if there’s no point to the staff other than order and chaos which were proven to be failures why don’t they just destroy it once and for all and lift the burden from all its keepers or maybe I missed something

The modern day part of Assassins Creed honestly just feels like a fuck up from the first game to me. One that is way to complicated and limiting. And they are way to deep into this shit to just get rid of it.

Am I the only one who's looking at the writing on this and just asking "wtf?" That's been my attitude towards Odyssey in general really, especially coming off the heels of something fantastic like Origins. I really don't understand the positive reception this game has had despite it's abundant collection of issues, not even just limited to the writing. The animations (especially the faces, make the Andromeda "tired faces" look lively in comparison), the busy quests, even superpowers (or just called abilities I guess) now? If this was made by EA, I'm sure people would riot, but because it's Ubisoft the crowd just numbly nods along I guess? Again, this game boggles my mind, though I'm glad they've taken a break to reassess the series.

Despite the bullshit modern day ending I still think it's one of the best games I've played. Just the setting alone is enough to make me love the game. And I love how they showed us more of the Isu civilization.
@00rphb eh, ive gone into the dlc not expecting drastically different endings and ive enjoyed it. I dont love the game for superb writing or a million choices that matter... You want that you play detroit become human. And that game took a huge budget and a long time to craft such variety in endings. And even in that game there are choices you cant make. I think ubisoft focused on world building, fun abilities and stealth, and fun interactions with some characters. And i love the game for these reasons. I figured out early on its not a super gripping story with lots of choice. If it were though i think this game would be the best ever made. Maybe cyberpunk will do it all.

It's the reason why he didn't want to be uploaded into the animus. He believed the isu's time was up. She did something with his soul in a last ditch effort to save him. Ended up becoming a sage and reincarnating over and over in a human body. But in this game he's all for it and just as bad as her lol. Who the fuck is this Althea chick? Only minerva, juno, and other dude uploaded their souls. So why is she talking through the animus again...? Why can layla be in contact with isu again? She's related to desmond? She has both blood lines of adam and eve in her too? Well I guess all this time desmond was just a side character and layla is actually "THE 1".
Let's thank Ubisoft for this dlc for what a fucking joke it was

@@HRush-lu6fj cannot agree with you more mayne. The story of how Templars are Order and Assassin's are Chaos with both needing them to exist is not only stupid but contradictory to not only the franchises' story but also clearly incorrect to idea of the Creed.
There is an excellent reddit post on how Assassin's are about peace in all things and consequence to every action, while Templars also want the same goal of 'peace', the way they go about it is absolutely wrong and the crux of EVERY assassin's creed game.

The Otso Berg fight and the entire ending of this DLC was pretty disappointing, I'm ready for the last Lost Tales of Greece mission to come out so I can finally get that trophy and have 100% and be done and finally delete this game.
I loved this dlc. It shows how order and chaos affect the world, and there is no perfect harmony.
Also if I were Aletheia, I would miss Kassandra already.

That's why she experimented on adam and eve and a freak accident happened giving them eagle vision and higher reflexes. They freed humanity and started a war.
