Today in this video i learn something very different i truely never listen these tip from anyone in india thank you sir alot for improving my skill in game once again thank you
if people want to understand why we use certain grips they have to understand that the shuttle will go in the orthogonal direction of the racket's head stringed surface therefore, you want it to face the direction ypu want the shuttle to go *at the contact point* ( after the movement of pronation or supination ) this helped me a lot
Your content and style of teaching is literally MADE for me! It's like a personal coaching session ☺️ Thank you so much guys amd I'm glad I found your channel. Love from India 🇮🇳💕
Viktor Axelsen actually teaches to use the backhand grip, but with the thumb a little more to the right, but not on the bevel. This is to allow more movement while maximising power
@@Volantbadminton I'm from Melb too and I'm very relieved we're out of stage 4. We're handling the covid situation a lot better now. Hopefully we can get to train properly at the courts soon!
Thank you so much for the content!! Quick question: when you say put “thumb” on bevel, do you mean the BOTTOM of thumb or RIGHT SIDE of thumb? Thank you!!
Hello😇 iam 19 and i was really interested in badminton But I don’t have played any of the tournaments. If I start now could I become a national player.
Sir m beganer only few months ago but i dont play every day but m verry much enjoy when i play batmentions sir my question is there is no power in my smash, two when i smash harder then shader goes out n hit to the net plz mk me on shape thanks
You've come to the right place! Sometimes you have to work on your technique and sacrifice some power first - until you get the technique right. Then after that, you can add the power again! Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up! :)

Well, if somebody doesn't do most of these things they'd barely be able to do a backhand at all!.. this is more fundamentals how to do it rather than "improvements"!
@@muhammedfarooq7219 Make sure your grip is a bit loose so that you can use both your finger/hand power, plus your forearm rotation to get power in your backhand defensive lift! You can also practice hitting against a wall to get more power and also use a heavy training racket!
@@SmashSecrets thanks but how will we meet?Im in India. But hardcore badminton fan And ameture player. And my age will be a question mark for people although I knw I can push myself to the limit. Love the use of graphics to illustrate grip 👍
The grip is so important when you want to change the angle of the shuttle!

Absolutely spot on! The angle of the face of the racket is key in the direction that the shuttle will fly!

How can we hit backhand smash more faster like forehand?
Which racket is best for 13 year old boy who plays good
very good.thank you.
Can I ask questions

Sometimes, a good "taecher" cant plyed badminton very well.. they can be a good coach, but not a good player. Anyway, the content is amazing.
Hey bro which grip is using for the doubles defence ?
Use the Backhand grip. So you can cover your full body area and use the thumb to drive the shuttle back.
@@SmashSecrets yeah , but using a thumb grip its very difficult to lift the shuttle
@@muhammedfarooq7219 Should be easier, must be something else going on here - maybe upload a video of yourself practising and ask for tips?
@@fijtips112 Yes, I agree. Backhand is usually easier to get power in defence!

Everyone (especially coaches!) should stop calling it the 'backhand grip' and call it the 'thumb grip'.
I want to be a pro. Will you help me?
Of course!
