    if people want to understand why we use certain grips
    they have to understand that the shuttle will go in the orthogonal direction of the racket's head stringed surface
    therefore, you want it to face the direction ypu want the shuttle to go *at the contact point* ( after the movement of pronation or supination )
    this helped me a lot

    • @Volantbadminton
      @Volantbadminton 4 роки тому

      Absolutely spot on! The angle of the face of the racket is key in the direction that the shuttle will fly!

      You've come to the right place! Sometimes you have to work on your technique and sacrifice some power first - until you get the technique right. Then after that, you can add the power again! Sometimes you have to slow down to speed up! :)

    Hey bro which grip is using for the doubles defence ?

    • @SmashSecrets
      @SmashSecrets  4 роки тому +1

      Use the Backhand grip. So you can cover your full body area and use the thumb to drive the shuttle back.

    • @Volantbadminton
      @Volantbadminton 4 роки тому +1

      @@muhammedfarooq7219 Make sure your grip is a bit loose so that you can use both your finger/hand power, plus your forearm rotation to get power in your backhand defensive lift! You can also practice hitting against a wall to get more power and also use a heavy training racket!
