Darwin's death is controversial because his comic book counterpart literally adapts to ANYTHING. He's been in 1000x worse situations than Shaw's energy ball and yet he get's killed off in such a stupid way.
The fact that no ones commenting about Storm’s death is crazy, she was the backbone/ motherly figure of the entire X-men team and is an underrated member. Her death was emotional too 😭😭
I don’t know if it’s mentioned, but one of the saddest moments for me was also from Logan. As they are escaping from the casino after Charles has another seizure, the radio talks about it and mentions how it resembles another event that killed all the X-men. Logan turns the radio off quickly so Charles doesn’t remember it. It was more of a side note, but adds another layer of tragedy to poor Charles’s decline.
She was also in The Gifted show but I can't remember if that was before or after Days of Future Past. I think it was before. She was my favourite character in that show.
Both of Professor X’s deaths (X-men: The Last Stand and Logan) were traumatic experiences. Ugly cried in the theater for a long time after both deaths.
I would’ve included Kayla Silverfox. I know X men Origins gets a lot of flak but Kayla was probably the one relationship that Logan had that wasn’t toxic or underdeveloped. And given how he lost his memory and couldn’t remember her face as he saw her dead body it was honestly kind of sad
Many don't know this, but when Iceman dies the second time in DOFP, he was actually saving Rogue with Magneto from Cerebro, where she was held in captivity (director's version)
Darwin's death was not permanent, on the comics due to his adaptability powers he survives as a conscious. To me, the most painful death of them all, is the one of Silver Fox in Wolverine Origins, because she dies to not be remember, as a sacrifice to save Logan....
I still feel like the Professors death in Logan plays like a nightmare for me. It's so devastating so quickly. And then, there Wolverines death and his funeral. When Laura turns the cross into an X... 😭
Wolverine's death has always been the most saddest ever in the movies world, Much love to Jackman who's contract must not be to anyone else. I hope I see wolverine again in Dr.Strange 2.
I would put Logan's death second and Charles' death first. I watched x men movies when I was very little and didn't understand English. All I knew was Charles was a big personality. When I recently a clip of his burial, I felt very sad. Such a great and famous person getting buried in an unmarked grave in nowhere. No one would ever know that it was his grave other than Laura. And the most important thing is Logan have to deal with it untill his death later on the movie. Whereas Logan's death was sad, but it did give relief, he would no longer have to carry the grief of losing his best friends.
I think Professor Xs death in Last Stand was more emotional in my opinion because it was from someone he raised and and wanted to help and she couldn't control herself being the Phoenix.
Iceman can't be killed like that, he'll regenerate when there's a little bit of moisture in surrounding or in whole planet. The MCU downplays Iceman abilities
Y'know, fun fact: The Sentinels should technically be based off of Darwin's genes in the story. But they decided to, for some reason, kill off the character in that stupid encounter with Shaw. Another fun fact: Darwin, and Iceman, are by the original story of the comics, immortal. Iceman can reform his body from the moisture in the fucking air, so he can't die. And Darwin can adapt to ANYTHING. That's why the Sentinels are so strong, they adapt to ANYTHING. And if they're so god damn powerful, why wasn't Darwin, as he was in the comics? Movie logic, that's why... I guess.
@@hil449 The comics managed it apparentyl and there are actually quite a lot of good stories with character immortal or unkillable (or mostly unkillable at least if they are full villain) +unkillable and unbeatable aren't the same thing, look a deadpool, the dude's immortal but bury him in 3 meters of concrete and you'll be rid of him without killing him
@@Dork20 It's pretty common in movie to nerf characters, the main MCU isn't an exception, Hulk is ridiculously weak compared to comics, Thanos children get the same treatment (struggling against random humans like black widow is really ridiculous considering their original strength) i don't even talk about Drax who can go toe to toe with Thanos and even kill him in 1v1 but in the MCU is thrashed by the much weaker Ronan, that's to create suspense i guess
