Well, with Shadow Tag, a ridiculously inflated hp pool and very few reliable counters, it's not easy full stop. If you run into one unexpectedly, you're probably losing a mon unless you're overlevelled.
Yep. Unless you can outright one-shot the thing, chances are high that you're going to lose something even if you *are* overleveled. Probably the only hope to survive a Wobuffet encounter in a Nuzlocke would be to have a Ghost type Pokemon in front with a physical move, so that even if the Wobuffet correctly predicts you with Counter, Counter being a Fighting type move would mean your Ghost type would be safe from Counter due to it's immunity to Fighting type moves. Though, therein lies the problem, as IIRC, Ghost types aren't easily obtained that early in Sword/Shield, I think the only possibility would be Duskull in the Wild Area, as any other Ghost would be too high of a level for you to be able to catch.
Or do you have a pokemon that can't be trapped... like a ghost type pokemon for example... xD
Luckily, unless you go in blind, you can find where they could randomly show up, avoid them like the plague, or at least see them coming and run

My very first Nuzlocke was in Black, and it was pretty hard and I lost a bunch of Pokémon pretty early on, to the point where I decided to take a break and really considered not ever doing a Nuzlocke again.
Until I watched Jaiden Animations' two first Nuzlocke videos, and I got inspired to start a new Nuzlocke, this time in SoulSilver, which was MUCH easier and more chill, and I also wrote a story from it, sort of, to keep me going and to make me even more emotionally attached to my Pokémon as I gave them voices and personalities, sort of.
Currently having 17 badges and have only lost 1 Pokémon so far, my Ampharos, Bambi, that I hatched from one of the Primo Eggs, to Elite Four Karen's Houndoom, as it had used Nasty Plot twice and landed a Flamethrower through 5x Sand-Attack AND confusion, just as I switched in my Ampharos to paralyze it as well, simply because I was so paranoid it would crit one shot my Golem with Dark Pulse to begin with, but I ended up using the wrong strategy and made everything worse, and even lost my FAVORITE TEAM MEMBER because of it!
But even after that huge loss (Thunderbolt + Thunder Wave lost), I kept going, and I even began a new Nuzlocke, in Alpha Sapphire, this time trying Set mode for the first time, and from then on, I have always played on Set mode, regardless if it's a Nuzlocke or not. It's just more fun and saves time! For the most part.
I now have started 17 different Nuzlockes, though only beaten 3 so far (SoulSilver, Platinum Waterlocke and Brilliant Diamond).
The other 14, I am still working on them. XD
I also found 2 shinies in my current Platinum Nuzlocke, a Shellos in Route 205 immediately after beating Mars at Valley Windworks, and a Bidoof in Route 201 while EV training my Aipom for the Ghost Gym, as I had just lost my Roselia and Kricketune to a random Trainer in there who had a Haunter with Curse, Shadow Ball, Mean Look and Confuse Ray (bullcrap move set lol).
And I also found a shiny Tentacool in my SoulSilver Nuzlocke just after getting the 7th badge, right before the Team Rocket raid in Goldenrod.
And while training up for Maylene, a shiny Graveler in my Platinum Waterlocke which exploded on me. :(
I ended up not using the Tentacool, but I am using the shiny Shellos in my current Platinum run, it is currently a Gastrodon and I love it.
I was actually just starting to train up the normal Shellos I had caught at Valley Windworks, but after only beating like 3 wild Pokémon and a Trainer, I found the shiny and decided "Welp, goodbye normal Shellos, back in the box with you! Hello Shiny~!"
Using a Shiny Pokémon on your team in a Nuzlocke is awesome. :D Especially so early on!
I saw Jaiden's videos, got inspired, decided to nuzlocke my favorite pokemon game (Emerald) and got crushed at the 2nd gym >_>
@@vcool122 In my very first Nuzlocke, in Black, I lost my starter to my very first encounter at route 1, a Lillipup.
I tackled it once, threw a ball, it broke out and crit tackle one shot my Tepig.
