Due to a copyright reason, I had to private the previous video and re-upload this one, which is properly edited.
copyright sucks. i feel you.
now i know
What did you get claimed for?
@@bigfatsnakeviiperAgreed it’s sucks
@@evanlovespenguins02 agree
These mods are cool. Never would have though the scratch wiki out of all places had them
you followed me on scratch
Ye, but sadly they dont add turbowarp and scratch addons
the text editor sounds like a mod i would actually use
6:32 in order to fix it, just add quotes to the thing you're trying to define.
for example,
go to "turtle"
or, if then
Not sure if someone else said this, but I believe you have to put sprite names in quotes.
So go to turtle would error, but go to "turtle" should be fine :)
Same thing for other actions that reference other sprites
create clone of turtle would error, but create clone of "turtle" wouldn't.
Hope this helps!
Edit:
This also applies for say and think!
oh yea i totally forgot about strings and stuff, thanks!
@@ProjectLabsScratch no problem :)
Did you try putting the defunct links into the wayback machine?
Fun fact, Tosh was created by the same guy who made scratchblocks (the scratchblocks on the forum).
wasnt expecting to see you here of all places!
@@Chloedasher well, where do you recognize me from?
Now I want to try text based scratch! It seems like a good transition from something like scratch to other text based languages.
Underrated video
Adacraft has a 16 : 9 resolution I'm pretty sure, which is the current standard for screens (excluding Macbooks, 16 : 10, iPhones, idk, and some other phones), but since it was in a browser window, it wasn't going to its full size. Also, do you have parrots, or just birds in general? I heard them chirping around 5:00
makes sense
5:29 I use Python quite often, and I’m pretty sure it’s similar to the python turtle where you enter commands into the terminal and the turtle arrow reacts to it. It’s kinda like python’s version of IBS paint in a way. It’s 1 out of the 2 built in ways to display graphics in python apart from tkinter.
The python library is based on logo, you're the second person to get this wrong T~T
2:11 Scratch uses 4 to 3 (480*360) but Adacraft uses 16 to 9 (640*360)😊
Why did you reupload? I saw you posted a new vid at school and decided to watch it once I get back home but it wasn't there xDD I was so confused lol
Adacraft just uses scratch addons block changers 😅
seeing the dart-shaped costume for tosh, it's probably a reference to snap…which might be a reference to terrapin logo.
You are so underrated you deserve more subs than 4k
I appreciate that!
now i can say "i actually code in scratch"
the blocks without the dent and the indent on top and bottom is actually a thing in scratch 0.1 almost every block was bblue
Just a little correction but the turtle mentioned at 5:30 is actually from Python's turtle graphics, a programmer's tool for drawing on a canvas using Python.
Yea tru
true*
False, turtle is a nickame given to a much older, very slow machine that was sort of like a printer and it had a pen attached to moving parts and would move across a paper using commands similar to the ones we'd use in Python or Scratch. Why is there so much misinformation and so little research put into this?
@@SpringySpring04ikr, the original was made in the 1960s, python was made in the 1990s
@@dylanherrera5395 btw scratch was created on 2003
what is the link? please
Cool
How do get to the mods
I think Adacraft’s screen ratio is 16:9
booeygate icon
things in this video that triggered me:
- "format" instead of "aspect ratio"
- "turtle" being a "logo reference"
- "logo" being a programming language
- the if statement chain for movement
- the video rectangle in the outro moving
nice video though
do you have ocd or smt
@@ProjectLabsScratch idk maybe
nah i think penguinmod is still the goat of scratch mods.
yes because you can actually upload
@@H_fromDiscord_real nah i think its because you have a lot of powerful extensions when using penguinmod.
You Can Write Code as Text in Scratch?
you need to add quotes thje the sprite youre trying to define in the scratch text editor one
adacraft is a bit unranged in the addon section, there's not many but there's AI which is a plus.
alot of their addons focus on external hardware items, which is actually pretty cool stuff
Can you send the link to the hidden mods
tosh I might actually use
SAMEEEE
*takes scroll right from obsoleted blocks* gee I wonder why this obsoleted block that doesn't do anything in regular scratch won't do anything?
PLEASE i am beggin you, pin this comment, ive seen 2 people get this wrong already, the name turtle was NOT originally from python, the python library is essentially an implementation of logo, if you go back even further, the original turtle is a PHYISCAL machine made in the 1960s (for context, python was made in the 1990s, a full 30 years later), the machine was basically a big clunky robot with a pen attached to it, as an attempt to do what scratch is trying to do today, teach children coding
the tosh text editor is 2.0 so its limited
Nobody knows? Now i do
3:58 you somehow managed to pay attention to the blocks but not managed to pay attention to the category they were in
wow they are in motion thats actually crazy, didnt think there would be a scrolling block in motion 🤯
@@ProjectLabsScratch> Obsoleted Blocks
we need tosh blob codes for 3.0
link the history of scratch video plz i cant fide it :(
The creator removed it 😭
i actually used tosh a while before finding this video, by definition, i am nobody 😎
4:50 5:08 who is petting their Pou in the background?
ok really when I started coding in Flash after using Scratch for 5+ years I wished it was easy as the text based Scratch coding ;-;
i tried pyonkee on my ipad a few months ago
5:16 the part you clicked for
Scratch with TEXT-BASED CODING???? Now THIS is what I'm talking about!
Fr
idk its cool but it confuses me, i have "if on edge, bounce" but the sprite doesn't bounce if it's on don't rotate and also idk how to manually flip the costume because two images are facing opposite directions
@@name6953 Sadly yeah, there are limitations right now. But, it's sure to get better.
@@ProjectLabsScratch W
i knew about this mod

Why was there weird sounds in the background?
