I had my 2 seater X3 that way for awhile because I broke the front diff. The pluses are light steering, wheelie easier and nothing in the front to break. Minuses is it’s slower, soft sand is really tricky especially if you’re going slower, and you really have get on the gas wherever you park or you will get stuck. When I have 4wd I drive in 4wd all the time in the sand, acceleration is always faster in 4wd.
Andy makes some great points. I kinda ended up with my mav r without 4wd but that's due to the axle breaking which is common. But I do feel the front end is heavy. Looks like it makes a big difference doing that mod. I do want 4wd for the dunes and side to side cutting it helps allot. Maybe some day I'll move to e85 as well. Great build.
Thanks for doing this video. I have been looking into moving from the x3 to a mav r and I was worried about the playfulness. I have heard its lost from people before. I think I will skip this generation and wait for the next one.
Really interesting take on Mav R in 2 wheel makes lot sense great video !
Thanks I’m glad you liked it.

I like this episode. Dale, you should do more of these unique car and driver interviews if you can find them.
I would love to find more unique ones for sure most are just bolt on this and that which imo not anything to excited about
I love the content. Keep it up.
Thanks I appreciate it.
I feel like he’s on to something.. makes total sense 👍🏼

Yes I’m a big 4wd driver so I couldn’t do that but a lot of people love 2

Yes I have said that a while back when I had one. It is a very planted car and you lose that playfulness of it unless you pull a Andy
Good idea if you like EV
@@kkmm219 there are other options available also and more coming very soon pro efi is working on something right now
Only thing that sucks when you take the front diff out and you destroy rear diff you have nothing to get you back
True
Not a Can Am guy but interesting take....
Ya very cool idea
Time to step it up Big D, that one sand car beat you.
lol Ya I’m not going to beat everyone but it’s fun trying I had a twin turbo Funco just beat me also. I’m okay with it
@@desertsxs It's fun until your motor goes to total sh!t.
@@bigjeep2195 ya I feel like it has really helped up really good for the power
@@desertsxs I still miss your $2 beg. That was funny as shit.
@ oh I got to bring it back for ya
He forgot to lose weight 😅
Haha
Honestly, why? If you want to drive like a sand car then get a sand car
He explained the reason in the video to spend the same amount of money it would be a old clapped out sand car that is hard and expensive to get parts
Put the big turbo on there that thing would really rip
Good idea
