thank you sis. for the knowledge and the info is very useful for me.. best regards, greetings from the friendship of laying hen breeders from Indonesia
This coop was bought from a farm store but they are pretty easy to source online, we did however build our duck coop and other chicken coop that you may see in my newer videos so if you would like tutorial videos on them let me know!:)
+The Murray Farm ok thanks for replying. I'm waiting for one of my hens to go broody so I can try and breed her. question, if they are mean to other chicks will it make a difference if they're their own, like will they attack their own chicks? thanks!
The Murray Farm thanks to your informative video, my hen is now sitting on three non fertile eggs and 3 small limes. :) I didn't have any golf balls but I had limes which are pretty much the same size. She isn't growling when I reach under her so she isn't on full broody yet. This is her first day and she's been on all day, only left once for 2 minutes because she thought I had food for them, then she immediately went back on to sit on them. It's raining now and she's still on them. I'm so excited!
hey murray love the vid but i need a big tipe here ok so we have a hen that wants to lay down but the issue is thta we have two roosters that boder her alot and sometimes i only let her out so she can do her thing but instead rather be inside whit the hens and that one roister that defends her so yeah responde back plz i appreciate it if you responde
+Gabriel Rodriguez maybe try separating her from the roosters but keep her in the same pen just with something between her and the others? So that way she can still see the other hens but not be bothered by the roosters
My broody hen has been broody for 4 days, she already has her eggs but she gets out of her best even 3 times a day, won't that ruin the eggs? I had to move her from her nest cuz she got pecked by the other chickens.
Hi Murray Farm, It is really not obvious these days. So many people are not up to speed on GMO feed products. Wheat, for instance, at least on large farming sections, is sprayed before harvest with Roundup as a desiccant - that leaves glyphosates in the feed. And the flour, by the way. Is that not the most beastly practice? If all goes as planned in the next couple of months, I'll be looking to get 15 hens and a cockerel, feeding them organic scratch, etc. Plus what greens and such to supplement. I've never had chickens, and am so looking forward to the whole experience. Consequently, I'm sourcing organic outlets for feed. The internet is such a huge resource for all one needs to research. Great tool!
Precious hen! She's telling you, "Give me back my egg! Get the camera away from me!" I love the way she gets mad. 😍

You can use styrofoam eggs, you can get them at tractor supply, or online.

Does the golfball have to be white
Nope
I don’t like golf balls cuz my hens just sit on it the whole day and don’t get any exercise. It’s bad cuz nothing will happen...

what breed is shem
rhode island red
+Noah Forgue ahh
She looks like a RIR cross to me. You can see different colored feather when the camera gets closer to the hen, that is not normal for a pure RIR
How do we know if they r broody
shifa hasan thay will sit on the eggs and try to pek u and make a lot of noise
Better make darned sure that corn is not GMO.
