Man, the difference so far this year is incredible. Last year, Ayr looked to me like still a mostly League 1 bunch being carried by Shankland. I honestly thought they'd struggle to avoid relegation without Shankland, but this year the team really looks like they belong at the Championship level. Imagine if Ayr still had Shankland on top of their improvement - they'd have the top two scorers in the league and would probably be running away in the table.
i always say one man doesn't make a team it was a real test of character that was and pass marks straight away.Also for Ayr losing ther manager and a excellent manager that he is too just shows the confidence the team has and to still go out and too perform the way they did against a really good Arbroath team was excellent..
