Great work Mark. It's the little things that make the difference between a driver and a show car. Most will never notice but the people that do will be impressed.
Thanks. I am my own worst critic and would have to look at it so it gets fixed. Just trying to save myself grief later on when I am kicking myself for not fixing something when I had the chance.
Really enjoyed the video Mark. The attention to detail required of these show cars is impressive. My untrained eye would never see the issues you’re working on!
Thanks Steve. My attention to detail is slowing this build way down but this is a one shot deal and I don't want to have any regrets. No budget and no time card so it all gets fixed...
Saludos Mark Nicely done. Sometimes I’m real good at making those mountains out of mole hills myself. Mark Twain said something like “ I’ve had many problems in my life, some of which actually happened “ 😎
I came across this video from a Nova site, thank you for this. Great video, its exactly how i feel they should be made. This will help with my 66 Nova when i get to that point since it as the same problem. I have subscribed and even though yours is a GTO, alot of the properties are the same. Really appreciate it.
Welcome Jesse and thank you. GM varied little across their platforms so there will be a lot of similarities to your Nova. Cool car by the way. Lots more to come so stay tuned. Mark
Mark, loving the channel and your work on the '67 Goat. Don't know of a greater body style with the over/under headlights. I owned, and wish I still had, a '66 Tempest with OHC 6. I thought I knew a little of how to do body work until I see all the stuff you are doing on and to Ruby. Great info and appreciate the level of detail you are doing to get her as perfect as possible before laying on the paint. Keep it up!!!
Thanks Brian, I really appreciate that. That OHC-6 was ahead of its time in my opinion. Pontiac really pushed the envelope on some stuff. I really love the styling on the 67 but I am a little biased.
I wish I would have got into body work when I was younger and I wanted to but one of my friends father was a body man for a dealer and he had to get out of body work because of the paint fumes were causing him health problems. I guess back in the 60's and 70' they didn't have respirators like they do now. His father told me to pick another occupation so I did. I don't have any regrets but I sure wish I could do body work like you do. Thanks for sharing.
I think you made the right choice. Back in the day a dust mask was proper equipment. I am not just saying this and I do mean it. Anybody can do what I do. Just start small and you will learn so much going through the process. I wasn't formally trained and do an okay job and you can as well. It may not come out super nice on your first try but you can screw it up a bunch of times and still be money ahead.
Thank you Very true, they distract me all the time at car shows. I think sometimes it seems unfixable and you just have to live with it but pretty much everything is fixable if you put in the time.

Great fix!
Thanks David. I built it up in my mind way bigger than it turned out to be. Luckily it all came together nicely.
Great job Mark,
I can't believe how far off that was. We are really spoiled by new cars fit and finish.
It surprised me too. The gaps and alignment on new cars is amazing compared to these old muscle cars that is for sure.
Those small details make a big difference and you're real good at explaining it! It's going to be a show winner for sure!
Thanks Todd, I surely hope I win something along the way. These muscle cars are great but the build quality wasn't sometimes.
Really enjoyed the video Mark. The attention to detail required of these show cars is impressive. My untrained eye would never see the issues you’re working on!
Thanks Robert, yeah most people would never notice but I do. It's a curse sometimes but now is the time to get all this stuff done.
Great work attacking the problem Mark! I can tell you are very pleased with the results!
Thanks Doug, I am and it feels good to get past that one. Now onto the front fenders that don't fit right.
Hi Mark, another great video. Your attention to detail is incredible and also an inspiration. Really enjoying your channel keep up the good work.
Thanks Steve. My attention to detail is slowing this build way down but this is a one shot deal and I don't want to have any regrets. No budget and no time card so it all gets fixed...
Thanks for sharing your project. Good job.
You are welcome, still lots to go but we are getting there.
Saludos Mark

Greetings Jack.
That is a perfect quote and fits me well.
I don't want any regrets when Ruby is all done so...
Great work Mark!!
Thanks Dave, little by little we are getting there.
Nice work thank you. Kind regards.
Thanks Lawrence. Hopefully one day soon I will stop finding things to fix so I can get moving faster.

Nicely done. Gaps and crooked panels can really distract from an otherwise nicely built car.
Thank you
