I love the perspective on teaching vs preaching. That in order to get your perspective to resonate with an entire audience it is necessary to explore the opposite side. You've got to give your character a real choice to make, and both sides have to seem like valid options. If a choice is too easy, then where is the story?
This movie could have been a masterpiece, but it wasn’t. And personally I blame the bad writing and storytelling, (and maybe character design)because the animation, effects, and acting were all great.

Story structure and writing are definitely the core… and many underestimate how challenging it is to be truly great at it.
