I relate to this way too much, I am the oldest child and daughter of my family, crying was a big no in my family, we were told not be weak and hurt by mean comments, or when we got yelled at, but it kinda hurts sometimes when you’re a kid and those imprint on you forever and you forever believe crying makes you weak. It doesn’t. It can make being strong a little bit easier. It make you feel heard, it can make everything hurt just a little less. The weight of your burden might be heavy but it’s okay if that upsets you. It okay if you can’t handle that burden. There will always be people who will help you carry that burden. Find your people, the people who care and the people you care about. Crying doesn’t make a strong person weak. The acknowledgment of that pain can make a strong person even stronger. You are so very strong. 💞 don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
