    Why put a crash mat down for a goal keeper they should be able to take the fall, they won't have a crash mat is a game and also the lighter skinned goalie was falling for no reason at all and over exaggerating side steps after a catch for no reason what so ever

      Because in training you can practice this drill many times and prevent possible injury,it also creates muscle memory .
