Yup! So even more reason savings when you get a lanyard…. That why i said at the end, this is a conservative estimate savings…. Chances are i saved more like $40 :)
Thats a great idea if you plan on having a blast…. Thats a good question about the uber though, not sure how they treat rideshare…. I will try to figure it out for u
@@Eddytainment I have to be honest. Busch Gardens and Seaworld Entertainment need to stop nickel and dimming their guests. Their sub par customer service, incredibly long lines for food, and this additional sir-charge…everything is just getting worse with them. Glad to know about the smaller size drinks while using the lanyard. That certainly does break into the value, and would cause me to not order the wine. Thank you for your honest and transparent videos!
@@thehippiethemeparkchick i try to be honest without bashing because they are doing somethings great and there is always things to improve. Glad you enjoyed the vid :)
@@Eddytainment you’re a pro at being very professional no matter the circumstance! Keep up the good work! Always hope to run into you in a park! Have an awesome theme park season and thanks again for your awesome vids!
I love low crowd days, so yes for me :) but if you like that really lively crowd, the weekend is for you! Hope you enjoyed this and all our other theme park content!
One thing that sucks nowadays is that they no longer make the food homemade for the food and wine festival. When they first started the event, practically everything was homemade but just like the new typical amusement park food they have though out the park, it is all frozen 😭
I noticed that, too. We have had authentic food from people from other countries and it no way near compares. One was so tiny that the filling inside was like a butter spread and it was all dough about a year or two ago.
I think the lanyard would easily feed 2 and very likely 3. If you are going just for 1-3 items, its not for you, but if you want to try a lot and possibly through multiple visits, the savings is significant with the lanyard. I did the calculations when i got home that day and I saved close to $40 with still 8 items left on the card so basically i had 7 items at $6.29 per items through the lanyard, but they would have costed me an additional $40 without the lanyard. So $6.29 x 7 + 40 = $84 is what I would have spent. That basically is just $10 shy of paying for itself and I still have 8 tastings left…. Lol sorry for the long explanation, but hopefully that made sense 😂
Going next week. Super excited! Haven't been in 4 years. Just moved back to Virginia recently. Date night for me and the hubby. 🍷🍽️ No more Poke in Hawaii or Gazpacho soup in Spain😭? Oh well. Oysters at Virginia booth sound good.😍. Can't wait for DarKoaster! 🎢
Great video. I’ve been doing the math if the lanyard is worth it and I’m still not sure with the drinks. Did you ever find out what the price is for a sample size ?
So i would definitely limit the drinks you get with it, but its good for the shots. They don’t sell the sample size they offer the lanyard holders, so its hard to guage the value
The surcharge and price markups have driven me from ordering 2+ beers per trip to 0, as well as limiting how many food options I want to purchase, particularly with so many good food options in Williamsburg. I will say however that there remain several reasonable wine options at the Wine Bar and I am quite happy that Le Frites is finally reopened.
Such a fun local festival, the food has really improved
A great time and over now until next year
I can't wait for this year's video!
Soon 😎
The kid recognizing who you were was the best part of this video ☺️
Lol completely forgot about that, hut the event is almost back!
Looking forward to this event!! Going this Saturday!!
Have a blast my friend
there's also surcharge/tax on the food if you buy it separately so even if every item is $6.50 you have to remember that there is tax on top of it

Shocked they were using the old Banbury Cross (England) ice cream parlor building for the food and wine festival info center.
Yea that was a new surprise
We are considering getting a hotel pretty close to the park this year and taking an Uber. Is that possible to avoid the parking fee?

@@EddytainmentThanks! Google search seems inconclusive
I've heard people getting dropped off at the bus stop outside the park then walking in
@@erikschmeling9599 that sounds workable
What percentage is the sir charge? Is that ON TOP of tax?
Don’t quote me but i believe its around 5% on top of tax and what ever charge… it was like 11% on the receipt total

@@ashleygrove983 ah got it! Well in that case yeah, Thursday would be worth it 100%. That is when this was filmed and I had a blast.
One of my fave events at the park!! Looking forward to checking it out when we come for Darkoaster.

Even if it’s frozen food for the festival it is still kinda good.

Can you get food for 2-3 people off one lanyard? Seems like you'd need multiple eaters (or one heavy drinker) to break even.

How are the lines for the Food & Wine booths?
Yesterday they were quick, but that was a Thursday…. The test will be Saturdays
