My spindle doesn’t stop like your, before making the final 3/4 turns. What does this mean? Something worn? It’s like spring loaded lol. To tight on the lid to fry pot?

We recently got new lid assemblys, and they seem good overall, but when i attempt to move the limit stop, they don't move. Is that normal?
