Very cool Louis met up with two Aussies I've been following for many many months now, Jess and Stephen. Watch their vlogs, great people, big dream and they're livin' it up "flying the nest"
Ive never properly appreciated just how much wildlife there is, makes living in a city a bit disappointing! But all the more reasons to travel. Love the vlogs as always. (The sound of the rain at the start was hella cool too)
+Donald D Yeah he pays a private company to call his personal mobile to tell him Louis has Uploaded. He then rushes from wherever he is to come and watch the video. He then busts nuts over it.
That was the best underwater footage ever. You were so lucky to have seen all that different marine life in one dive. These latest blogs are great. Thank You!
Hey Louis, just a few tips in hopes of being helpful (I don't know what the laws are where you are, Africa I think?) but for future reference in many places touching sea turtles is illegal (idk if you actually did or not but it looked like you were pretty close so just for future reference I would maybe be a bit more careful in how close you get to the animals), also if you can avoid it, try not to touch any coral or stuff that looks like the foundation of the reef because it can really damage the polyps but you looked pretty solid in being good about not touching anything! I really love your vlogs and am super happy that you got advanced certified! These were just some tips from diver to diver.
+fart2711 that is true but I would highly recommend not doing that unless you have been properly trained/learned in how to remove it, the process is called fragging and while new coral can grow from the crown once the old one has been removed if you are touching it without gloves on the oils on your hands and fingers can kill the coral. While this isn't the main cause of reefs dying (acidification and rising temps are) it can contribute to it. So please please please if you are ever diving set a good example and don't touch anything, the reef, shells, wildlife, literally anything.
+Carlos Danger Im sure the turtle was not harmed by louis interaction, but the point still stands. If there are laws in place, these need to be followed. You also need to respect the marine environment.
The colors and clarity of the underwater scenes are amazing! So beautiful and as always I so enjoy being able to live vicariously through your adventures Namaste
Hey dude you just finished your Advanced Scuba diving license where they teach you not to fly after Diving Heres Why: The concerns of heading to altitude too soon after diving are the same as those when you ascend from your dive too quickly because the same scientific principles apply: going to altitude takes you to an area of lower outside pressure, meaning residual nitrogen still dissolved in your blood can come out of solution as bubbles if the pressure reduction is not slow enough to let your body off-gas safely. Staying at ground level before going to altitude is like doing a decompression stop. Deeper and longer dives will leave you with more residual nitrogen, thus requiring a longer pre-flight surface interval. The time you should wait relates directly to the pattern of diving completed.
The best underwater diving footage I've ever seen. Granted, it wasn't the great barrier reef, but it wasn't the Thames neither. Really well edited! Nice one Louis!
I was just about to comment that you should't be touching the reefs when you got bit by that eel... I hope you learned your lesson Louis. Touching the reef could kill it! As you should know being a diver, no reef means no fish. Please be respectful when you dive and remember that you're a visitor in their homes.
That must be so inspiring to meet someone like Hannah where you have unknowingly had such an impact on their life that they have taken a leap to pursue something that inspires them and most likely changed their life. AMAZING footage by the way! Always first class!
Love seeing your enthusiasm during your dive Louis. Congratulations on getting your PADI open water advanced certification. Maybe someday our paths will cross and we can blow a few bubbles together!!!!

Hey Louis! You should consider looking into underwater filters for your GoPro dive cam it helps a lot with the colour adjustment of the water for the best underwater video results! Ps please take me on an adventure hahaha

Wow I've never heard of that. Learn something new everyday
+Megan Campbell do you know when you cut a piece of coral of it grows into a new one
+fart2711 that is true but I would highly recommend not doing that unless you have been properly trained/learned in how to remove it, the process is called fragging and while new coral can grow from the crown once the old one has been removed if you are touching it without gloves on the oils on your hands and fingers can kill the coral. +Megan Campbell I'm sure that sea turtle will never recover from that traumatic touch louis gave it on its rear flipper.
+Carlos Danger Im sure the turtle was not harmed by louis interaction, but the point still stands. If there are laws in place, these need to be followed. You also need to respect the marine environment.
