I was in a Ryokon in Osaka. When I woke, the neighborhood was so peaceful. People going about their daily business, trotting along the streets to accomplish their to-do lists. Perhaps gathering the ingredients for tonight's dinner or tending their tiny, street side gardens. Bicycles piloted by people, delivering Obento for local office workers' lunches... Communities live and work together for the good of the community. The community is greater than the individuals who live there; a beautiful concept that is so evident when you're there.
