Sweet tooth from twisted metal should have made this list. not because he's a psychotic murderous clown but because, after the entire competition, after risking life and limb on multiple occasions, his request from an apparently omnipotent being who will grant him any wish... is a brown paper bag... who he refers to as Crazy Harold the Wacky Lunch sack... as he drives off... with his hand inside it.
I agree with Albeido being freaky. As someone who watched all of the Xenosaga cut-scenes, Albeido is a constant presence. In the first game, he was introduced with everything stated in the video. In the second game, Albeido is given a backstory. Which is basically that he grew up as pretty much mass produced children to use as weapons (668 made in total, Albeido being #667). Albeido had the ability to regenerate his limbs, after severely injuring one of the other kids, Albeido discovered that he was the only one that could regenerate. After that, Albeido started separating from the two siblings that he valued most: Rubido (#666) and Gienon (#668). Albeido wanted to avoid the pain caused by outliving Rubido and Gienon. By the end of Xenosaga Episode II, Albeido was the final boss (again) and was killed. In Xenosaga Episode III, Albeido was revived and surprisingly somewhat less insane. In the middle of the game, Albeido died for good.
I just recently thought of this video and had to rewatch it. It's ofc a bit antequated (mostly a bit too short for each entry), but the whole final segment and the division of each type of insanity at the end is still pretty genious. Hope you'll remake this someday. (also, for some reason I thought Alex Rochon had made this, so took longer than I expected to find it)

Tiny Tina is a bit more delightfully insane as she puts her skills to good use and they're often used in jokes that she actually thinks will make you laugh... she also makes up 'raps' on the spot about the most random of things.

You wanna hear a fun fact about Sander Cohen? The piece he forces his assistant Fitzpatrick to play is composed with the sole intent to torture the pianist. It takes forever to learn because there's no particular melody in the middle part of it. And he wants the poor guy to play faster. And when he doesn't... Death.
Always found Steinman creepier than Sander Cohen, his pursuit of perfection, the diaries showing his progression... but the main thing... that tangent about Picasso.... urgh... still gives me chills.
Albedo made me obsessed with Xenosega (as well as KOS-MOS for she was badass as hell) do to his poetic nature and Kefka is just god damn insane and had me mesmerizing his whole script example:"There's a reason oppose rhythms with dispose.""If they get in your way kill them" Gotta love insanity in video games fro it makes the game 10 times more entertaining
Kefka honestly just seems like the writers made a list of what makes a crazy character crazy and checked off the boxes. Any real depth seems out of place as he'll turn around and contradict himself with a different flavor of madness. Sure, it makes an unpredictable and more insane character, but... well, it sacrifices character.
Question; Ever consider doing an updated version of this countdown? I mean, it's been nearly 8 years since this video was released, and hundreds of new games with dozens, if not hundred of crazy characters that were introduced, and many of them are crazier than the characters that're on this list.
My favorite is Sheogorath. Because he's the only character on this list that's in a game I've played. I've actually only met him in Skyrim and original Oblivion in his side-quest. Oblivion's storyline is so long I've never had the patience to complete it. Plus, the facts that you level up slowly combined with the fact that it is *very* hard to get a significant amount of money in this game (at least, compared to Skyrim) makes it very easy fro you to become underpowered. Once, during the battle of Kvatch, every enemy was like a miniboss to me. (I apologize if you were annoyed by me getting off topic.)
Its funny but at first I thought that number 8 on the list was the medic from team fortress 2 ( because it sounded like something the medic would say) and I thought "O-o O...kay the medic has now lost every last ounce of sanity in his body...RUN AWAY" XD
Kai from Heavenly Sword. Not only is she insane, but she's just lovable and entertaining as all hell to watch. Mad Hatter from Alice. He was crazy in the books, but now he's bat shit in a volcano crazy. Getting creative with people's body parts and his fixation with tea time and time itself has gone from just curious to maddening and murderous obsession. Mordin Solus: nuf said. Alice Liddell. The fact that she all of Wonderland is part of her mind gives us enough to say that she's insane.
I was hoping to see Feral Chaos here... I mean, he's essentially an insane Five-year old. (Yes, Chaos was a kid given a monstrous body.) And he grew weary of the cycle, so he killed everything. I didn't expect him to get close to Kefka, but he should've been there, at least...
I know this video is old but i wanna throw my two cents into the honorable mentions bucket. Hajime Busuzima from Bloody Roar. Known as Busuzima The Chameleon he is a Zoanthrope with the ability to turn into a giant chameleon and was a former scientist of Tylon the main antagonists of the first Bloody Roar and then became the big bad secret boss of the Zoanthrope Liberation Front while performing all sorts of experiments such as turning Mitsuko's daughter Uriko into a chimera in the first game and messing up her Zoanthrope DNA so much she can only halfway transform, brainwashing Kenji into being an assasin for the Z.L.F. and the next Bakuryu, and his magnum opus in my opinion of his twisted experiments turning a regular human and fellow scientist Steven Goldberg into a humanoid insect Zoanthrope that now goes by the name Stun The Insect. Also his fighting style is listed as Deception which translates in gameplay into wildly flailing his arms and legs, he breaks the 4th wall in his story ending in Bloody Roar 2 before he gets curbstomped by the heroes he says they all came back because they chose "Continue", and in Bloody Roar 4 he chases after a little girl Zoanthrope who he refers to as "Little Fox" and before facing off against the final boss in the arcade mode he says a line only a predator would say. "Little fox. This old man's going to take you to a gooood place....ok?".
As much as I love Sheogorath (obviously) Big-head is crazier. He has an unnaturally large head, always speaks in song, then asks you to find the ''Fork of horripilation''-- oh yeah his house is *full* of forks. And last but not least, he goes on a murder spree...with the fork you gave him! Some may argue that last one is a bug, but knowing Big-head...I doubt it.

YO WTF I WAS SEARCHING FOR TODD THIS VIDEO FOR 7 YEARS AND ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO DID I FINALLY FUCKING FIND ALBEDO AGAIN, I JUST WATCHED XENOSAGA'S ALBEDO CUTSCENE BEFORE FINDING THIS TWO MINUTES AGO. MAN I WASTED 7 YEARS LOOKING FOR A VIDEO THAT WAS IN MY RECOMMENDED LIST FOR YEARS.
The "Happy-Mask" salesman, a seemingly otherworldly mask seller with a mysterious background, he plays a small part in Ocarina of Time (in a sidequest) and a main part of the story in Majora's Mask
I was expecting to see Kratos in this list and heres why: He kills everything in his path, killed his own family, have a bloodlust for revenge, have serious anger issues, kill of the Gods, escapes hell more than once and is almost unbeaten. Kratos is one of the most crazy, homicidal and bloodthirsty characters in videogames to date!
Gotta say, I'm with ya on the Kefka bit, he's wacky, but has a reason, he's 'illogical', but is 'competent'. Also, love the end bit with the Joker quote, it fit so perfectly, the motions, and timing, just, perfect it's disturbing in itself.
Shodan and Glados should be switched. Glados is kinda entertaining, yes, but she doesn't have the power to murder the entire universe like Shodan does... and tries... more than once...
Might be alluding to Caroline's personality being in her. It wasn't completely deleted until the end of Portal 2, so in a way the personality is restrained.

when i was playing bioshock i liked cohen, i dont know why. He does give you the bow, which i abused the hell out of with camoflauge and i actually felt kinda dissapointed with the rewards in his "mystery muse box" and happy when he had an upgrade station as a better reward, but it still sucks i had to kill him for any reward

Question; Ever consider doing an updated version of this countdown? I mean, it's been nearly 8 years since this video was released, and hundreds of new games with dozens, if not hundred of crazy characters that were introduced, and many of them are crazier than the characters that're on this list.
My favorite is Sheogorath. Because he's the only character on this list that's in a game I've played. I've actually only met him in Skyrim and original Oblivion in his side-quest. Oblivion's storyline is so long I've never had the patience to complete it. Plus, the facts that you level up slowly combined with the fact that it is *very* hard to get a significant amount of money in this game (at least, compared to Skyrim) makes it very easy fro you to become underpowered. Once, during the battle of Kvatch, every enemy was like a miniboss to me. (I apologize if you were annoyed by me getting off topic.)

Its funny but at first I thought that number 8 on the list was the medic from team fortress 2 ( because it sounded like something the medic would say) and I thought "O-o O...kay the medic has now lost every last ounce of sanity in his body...RUN AWAY" XD
Kai from Heavenly Sword. Not only is she insane, but she's just lovable and entertaining as all hell to watch.
Mad Hatter from Alice. He was crazy in the books, but now he's bat shit in a volcano crazy. Getting creative with people's body parts and his fixation with tea time and time itself has gone from just curious to maddening and murderous obsession.
Mordin Solus: nuf said.
Alice Liddell. The fact that she all of Wonderland is part of her mind gives us enough to say that she's insane.

Amazing work Fiery Joker. This was my first countdown I watched from UA-cam.
I was hoping to see Feral Chaos here... I mean, he's essentially an insane Five-year old. (Yes, Chaos was a kid given a monstrous body.) And he grew weary of the cycle, so he killed everything. I didn't expect him to get close to Kefka, but he should've been there, at least...
That last scene with Albedo... he really reminds me of Heath Ledger's Joker.
I know this video is old but i wanna throw my two cents into the honorable mentions bucket. Hajime Busuzima from Bloody Roar. Known as Busuzima The Chameleon he is a Zoanthrope with the ability to turn into a giant chameleon and was a former scientist of Tylon the main antagonists of the first Bloody Roar and then became the big bad secret boss of the Zoanthrope Liberation Front while performing all sorts of experiments such as turning Mitsuko's daughter Uriko into a chimera in the first game and messing up her Zoanthrope DNA so much she can only halfway transform, brainwashing Kenji into being an assasin for the Z.L.F. and the next Bakuryu, and his magnum opus in my opinion of his twisted experiments turning a regular human and fellow scientist Steven Goldberg into a humanoid insect Zoanthrope that now goes by the name Stun The Insect. Also his fighting style is listed as Deception which translates in gameplay into wildly flailing his arms and legs, he breaks the 4th wall in his story ending in Bloody Roar 2 before he gets curbstomped by the heroes he says they all came back because they chose "Continue", and in Bloody Roar 4 he chases after a little girl Zoanthrope who he refers to as "Little Fox" and before facing off against the final boss in the arcade mode he says a line only a predator would say. "Little fox. This old man's going to take you to a gooood place....ok?".
As much as I love Sheogorath (obviously) Big-head is crazier. He has an unnaturally large head, always speaks in song, then asks you to find the ''Fork of horripilation''--
oh yeah his house is *full* of forks. And last but not least, he goes on a murder spree...with the fork you gave him! Some may argue that last one is a bug, but knowing Big-head...I doubt it.

I feel like this list needs to be revisited. There have been plenty of crazy people in videogames in the last couple of years that would qualify.
Albeto isn't exactly insane... more like lost and broken from the realization that he had to watch everyone he loved die :'(

The "Happy-Mask" salesman, a seemingly otherworldly mask seller with a mysterious background, he plays a small part in Ocarina of Time (in a sidequest) and a main part of the story in Majora's Mask
I was expecting to see Kratos in this list and heres why:
He kills everything in his path, killed his own family, have a bloodlust for revenge, have serious anger issues, kill of the Gods, escapes hell more than once and is almost unbeaten. Kratos is one of the most crazy, homicidal and bloodthirsty characters in videogames to date!
Gotta say, I'm with ya on the Kefka bit, he's wacky, but has a reason, he's 'illogical', but is 'competent'. Also, love the end bit with the Joker quote, it fit so perfectly, the motions, and timing, just, perfect it's disturbing in itself.
Shodan and Glados should be switched. Glados is kinda entertaining, yes, but she doesn't have the power to murder the entire universe like Shodan does... and tries... more than once...
Might be alluding to Caroline's personality being in her. It wasn't completely deleted until the end of Portal 2, so in a way the personality is restrained.

when i was playing bioshock i liked cohen, i dont know why. He does give you the bow, which i abused the hell out of with camoflauge and i actually felt kinda dissapointed with the rewards in his "mystery muse box" and happy when he had an upgrade station as a better reward, but it still sucks i had to kill him for any reward
