What got my attention around a jet, (F-105, J-75 engine), the clanking sounds as it started up and shut down, always sounded like someone threw extra bolts into the engine. i was there a few times with a hot start using cartridge starts, first cartridge didn't fire, in goes a spare. Now you have twice the fuel to start it and out the back, a huge flame.
At idle....this thing at takeoff power would be insanity.

It looked like like it got pretty wet before the igniter kicked in ha ha thats an old powerplant so who knows but yep pretty hot looking !

Youre right i have hearing loss now from aircraft powerplant vibration and sound and i always had ear plugs and a head set !

Thrust, not torque. Unless you stick a prop on front, there is no rotational force applied externally.
