    One of the reasons that you and my mechanics are my favorite restorers is that you don't use fast forward. A bit here and there is ok, but it's much more relaxing to watch you move at normal speed, but just a bit of each step. Fast forward is more jarring and hard to follow sometimes. We don't need to see them unscrew all 6 screws, for example. I'd much rather watch one screw undone at normal speed and then jump ahead to the next stage. Keep up the amazing work all around!

  • @Sybrtek491
    @Sybrtek491 4 роки тому +5

    Wow! Nice restoration. I was wondering what about the red lens? I would have preferred the battery glued under the top part and might have a small USB charge port too. Maybe added a small rubber seal between the top and bottom. This lamp would be an excellent camping or sailing lamp with extra storage in the box below. Hope to see more. Thank you. Great work.

      Yeah. Lights up the glass better than the others. I kinda hoped for an original battery and no conversion from old to new. But maybe those batteries aren't produced anymore.

    Great job. I enjoy watching your videos but one thing that you do, (or rather, that you dont do) that makes your videos so enjoyable, is that you dont show the before, and after thumbnails.. this makes it so much more of a surprise. Other channels show the finished result in the opening picture, which , in my mind, ruins the experience and negates the reason for watching them .

    • @TheRogueBro
      @TheRogueBro 5 років тому

      Really depends on the battery. Quite a few have voltage protection circuits built in. And being (what look like) an RC car battery pack, it most likely has this.

    Le sticker, qui ne correspond pas vraiment au style de l’époque devrait être mis sur le dessous (comme signalé aussi dans de nombreux commentaires en anglais). Quand à l’ampoule, vu qu’il y a une énorme modification en installant une batterie LIPO, l’ampoule LED va bien et durera beaucoup plus longtemps sans recharge. Sinon travail toujours aussi soigné. Bravo.
