Ich glaube nicht, dass der Würfel mit SECAM-Technik entwickelt wurde. Ich habe mal gelesen, die gesamte Technik des DDR-Fernsehens sei auf PAL basierend gewesen, die letzte Technik-Generation waren BetacamSP-Geräte, d.h. also Sony-Technik vom "Klassenfeind" aus Japan. Hello from America! I am a very interested person in DDR and USSR history and to find this is very amazing! I love the television of both, but the DDR itself had a much more interesting and well produced television. Great music, and lost great buildings, makes one long for a better time!
Hello from Germany and thanks for your impressions! This cube was used as kind of a placeholder, f. e. between a movie and the news. The building shown here is the Palast der Republik / palace of the republic, which was abandoned after the collapse of the eastern bloc and still stood in Berlin until 2008, when it was teared off. They built a copy of the city palace from imperial ages, which was blown up in the 1950s to celebrate the victory of socialism over monarchism. Then the palace of the republic was build in the same place. And now the emperor's palace stands there again. How ironic.

I have mixed feelings for it, on one hand the building brings back the classical look, but on the other it represents fake history over a real, historical building. It also seems like a lot of corruption was used when tearing it down since so much asbestos is seen in other buildings. But what is done is done. Its cool that the cube was used as a placeholder instead of only using a digital clock, something you can let sit in the background for music. Thank you!

Das ist eine gute Frage. Es gibt leider wenige Informationen zu diesen Pausen- und Intro-Musikstücken aus dem DDR-Fernsehen. Ich wüßte das auch gerne.

Was ist denn SECAM-Technologie? Das war, neben PAL, ein Übertragungsstandard. Wie kann man mit SECAM einen Würfel animieren?
