STORY BEHIND THE SONG
The last song I wrote for my tenth album "Heaven + Earth: The Psalms Project", Steadfast Love (Psalm 103) went through around 7 or 8 different completely different versions before I landed on this one. I wanted so badly to include these words in this collection of songs. In Psalm 103, King David quotes God Himself when He described Himself to Moses...
In Exodus 33, Moses asks God to show him His glory. God prepares Moses for what will happen the next day. Then God hid Moses in the cleft of a rock and passed before him declaring His Name. His reputation: "ADONAI, ADONAI, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love (Hesed) and truth..."
Moses quickly bowed his head and worshiped.
David picks up these most inspired lyrics and sings them in the 103rd Psalm.
My friend Michael Card describes "Hesed" (steadfast love) as this:
"When the one from whom I deserve nothing...gives me everything."
This is the nature of our relationship with the LORD God.
We deserved nothing.
He gave us everything.

Hello Aaron may we all be crowned with steadfast love. I pray that all who are suffering will soon be healed even though it seems like the road is long. Remember that the psalms are one of the most encouraging books of the bible and that his word helps in the darkest of times.

Psalm 23 and 103 are my mothers favorite prayer psalms she taught us these two psalms and we memorize them well even taught it to my sons my mothers faith in these psalms helped her conquer all kinds of negative things that challenge her life and I thank God for all her sacrifices of love that made us also believers in the power of the all merciful all compassionate great almighty God in Jesus name she lived up to 95 but never sick in a hospital amen Jesus blood made her strong always and these 2 psalms 23 and 103 that's why we are enjoying the goodness of the fruits of her prayerful devotion to God almighty in Jesus name amen

I thank God the Father for you. This is why since I hears of this faith of yours in the Lord Jesus and the love which you bear towards fellow-Christians, I thank God our Father continually for you and I never give up praying for you, and this is my prayer.
