Me, analysing the author throughout this series: "Ouuu, he's done his research. BTRs were the newest APCs in the 80s." "Oh neat, he included the fact that flame throwers were not standard kit in the Red Army but were often allotted to armoured vehicles for mechanized warfare." "AK47... by 1987 it would have been an AK74 but alright..." "Clip... he seriously just said Clip.... clip... CLIP. 3 TIMES IN ONE SENTENCE?" *angrily flips table* *slavic hardbass music stops*
Joshua Clay yeah you’re an idiot, literally google it. Yes some police / militia use the 47 but the AK74 replaced it in the military around the mid 70s. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING PART 2 SO FAST LOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH ALMOST OBSESSED WITH EVERY STORY. THEY ALLOW ME TO ESCAPE THIS WRETCHED LIFE ONE STORY AT A TIME. THANK YOU
Thanks for doing part #2 so quickly! I cant wait to listen to this and am also looking forward to part #3 of the "Im A Sailer In The Navy" story. You have been doing so many more stories than usual and alot of longer ones, it's pretty awesome! You must be on holiday from your "day job", lol😄.. Thanks so much for your stories, I absolutely love to listen.
That was a great story Dr Creepen if you ask me it's worth listening to it twice i think I'll listen to it again this weekend in the Mt Hood Oregon wilderness area on annual target practice 👍 if I don't return blame any and all Rampaging Sasquatch's
That was an awesome part 1 and 2. I can't wait for more. The Werewolf Stories are great as well. I can't wait for another Demon Hunter story. I hope the guy is still around. Here in San Antonio people come and go way too easily, it really is a pretty ruthless place.
Doc is in the house! I'm gonna sleep like a baby, after I hear what happens next. We had major loadshedding here, I cannot sleep without my bedtime story. Thank you Doc 😊🤗
Wow yet again you caught me with a Rolling Rock in hand Never cease to amaze me Doc Now to burn a 🌳 and fire up a square and enjoy your antics Keep up the outstanding work
I think this will always be something that some of us notice. Guns seem very foreign to many authors around the world.. I'm trying to make peace with "clips" 😂 But as a gun owner it's hard!
It's a little detail that is often overlooked and immediately takes me out of the story. It reveals a single flaw about the author that instantly compells me to be overly critical.
Everyone seems to be talking about the “magazine-not clip” thing taking them out of the story but like, it’s not like anyone ever claimed this story to be true, it can’t be that disheartening. It’s a really good story. It must be a sorry thing to be so stuck on one word out of a two hour story that that’s what ruins it for you.
It takes away from the story. Any kind of soldier knows the difference, and the appropriate use of each term. That's all. Great story nonetheless, all who are bothered with it want story writers to understand there is a large difference between the two, and the terms are not interchangeable. A clip feeds a fixed magazine (not pertaining to the M1 Garand, the Garand spits out the EnBloc clip when empty), clips are removable, but the fixed magazine is not. A magazine solely feeds the ammunition directly into the chamber, and is removable. No mag, no bang.
This story was very Lovecraftian, even though it is based on modern events and scientific knowledge. The pacing, the monsters, even the setting in spite of its modernity -- all perfect. The Master would doubtless approve -- and it enjoy it thoroughly!
Meh I wouldn't really think Lovecraft I was getting more of a Jhon Carpenter kinda vibe Lovecraft its a bit more dark than this really but I see where your coming from
Hiya doc its jenny and the cats. There are the normal 5 of 7 sat on my old recliner so im nice and warm under my cat blanket. We have our favorite drinks and are ready to listen to the story. 😸😸😸😸😸
So I’m playing stalker just recently got the game and I’m really into the lore and the whole incident that happened out there so I came across this video. I listen to it last night and I finished it off at work this was a bad ass story this will be bad ass movie 😅
As much as I want to, I just simply can't fully enjoy it. Not with my niece missing. Sighs.. Still, a good story and it's good that you were able to get to part two.
Readers should just accept not all authors or narrators understand the difference, and it’s really not the end of the fucking world-like everyone is treating it as.
Excuse me, I don’t mean to be one of those.... When you were talking about the AK47, and referred to the “clip””. Those are “magazines” not clips. Great story. I loved it. Keep up the great work.
Another thing spetznaz used ak-74 variants at the time akms and ak-47s were replaced by the 5.45 caliber during that era how do I know this I'm just one big gun nut
I love story's that involve soldiers or some form of military. The chaos and confusion through the story is amazing and it's just awesome
this is like metro 2033 exodus and the thing put together, i love it, i'm playing metro as i listen to this haha
My thoughts as well. The military stories are the best because its people who have the training and fortitude to deal with certain situations
Great story done wonderfully! Thank you for doing both parts back to back.
Hi Dear Doc! Thank you for Part 2 so quickly. 😊👍🏻. We love and bend a knee to our beloved Brit narrator❤️❤️
Doc you're absolutely knocking it out the park lately spoiling us rotten between the 2 channels. Thank you ever so kindly👏

Someone watched the 1980's remake of "The Thing". The one by John Carpenter.

I thought that too, lol.
There’s a Sam Neil element to this guys voice and I love it... perfect for creepy pastas... very event horizon if you close your eyes in sound 🖤✨

Pretty sure a fair bit of troops still called Magazines as Clips for a long time still after Mags were used more, too

There is way too much space in these BTR’s, you can’t really get up and walk around, let alone be flung around inside, but that’s just a nitpick
