I have never watched two people have as much FUN making wonderful music so impeccably as Gregory Anderson and Elizabeth Joy Roe. (Her parents bestowed upon her the most presciently appropriate of middle names.)
You're quite wrong, it's all for show. They hate and despise each other utterly off-stage. I overwintered at Roe's flat in Glenville a couple of years ago. Greg would come round and complain that she lives with a homeless alcoholic who never does any housework and she'd scream and throw dirty plates at him. And the filth. Behind the futon I found over thirty three-litre polyethylene cider bottles with the tops cut off filled with old urine. The place stank of fish. Her surname is more appropriate.
@@williamdiffin28 so you're saying it was fortunate that there were no actual sabres within reach for this performance as it would have quickly devolved into a contest over who could sever the other's head or hands from their body first? I confess, I've been secretly suspecting this seething animus all along if only because it best explained the fuel for the fire and passion with which they play their more animated pieces. I just wasn't brave enough to say it out loud. You are my better for your courage, not to mention imagination.
Electrifyingly brilliant! So much finesse and energy combined culminating in an explosion of excellence. Bravo!

This is good on so many levels. It is technically excellent, the arrangement is so innovative and really gets the spirit of the orchestration across, and these two are tastefully and yet wildly entertaining.

Yea I’ve played this too with some random guy as a duet for 4 hands. Low key funny but also awkward because of the hand crossings. so accidental hand contact is expected

There comes a time when a piece of music is ruined when it's played too fast!
Talented pianists, but I really don't like the glissandos in this arrangement. Makes it sound silly.
Great skills, but at this tempo it loses a lot. Sounds like Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd should come running across the stage at any moment.
