Get Up Close And Personal At The Bronx Zoo: Private Giraffe Feeding & Budgie Encounter!

Eva & Lia visit the Bronx Zoo in the Bronx, NY on a VERY hot day. The girls get to see a variety of different animals; some they've never seen or heard of before.
The first surprise for the girls was Budgie Landing. For $5, you go into a large enclosure and are given a tongue depressor with bird seed stuck to one end. Once inside you hold your stick out and the very colorful budgies land on the stick and eat the seed.
The second surprise for Eva and Lia was a Wild Encounter called the Private Giraffe Connection. We met at the Zoo Center and were driven behind the scenes to the giraffe enclosure. Once there we were given an education on the zoo's giraffes and got to personally hand feed them. It was a truly amazing experience and was worth the extra cost for the once in a lifetime experience.
We end the day with some gifts from the gift shop and some @DippinDotsIceCream
