English translation in short.. Rani ki vav stated in patan ( Gujrat) . Rani ki vav means Queen's stair- well. This monument astonished many modern architecture. This monument made by queen udaymati in the memory of her king bheemdev first in 11th century. It is made in inverted form means dome is down below and pillars are up above. This is 7 storied well and at every story there r these beautiful hand stoned statues and art work. These statues are based on 24 avatars of God Vishnu, naagas , nymph, apsaras etc. It is 70 meters long , 23 m wide and 28m deep. It has more than 500 main artwork and more than 1000 small artwork. This monument buried for 700 years due to flood. In 13 century, there was a river near it which became extinct during geographical changes and after flood this monument buried for 700 years that's y statues remain safe. In 1950, it is start excavated by archeology department of India, and after 40 years they got succeed in 1989. It is said there was 292 pillars with full of artwork but now they r 226. There is no water in well now... The West part has a well This well is 10 m wide and 30 m deep. It is said that this well had water 50 years ago which had medicinal properties in water which was used to cure diseases. This monument is 900 years old
We people are not modern and scientific but we are dull. Our ancestors were much more creative and innovative than us! That much mesterious that the mysteries given by them are unsolved yet! Incredible India🇮🇳
