I loved this song the first time I heard it! I really hope it's released so it'll go to #1 on the country charts. I've always loved listening to Merle and Willie. This song has so much meaning, especially between the two of them... and will touch the hearts of others who get it.

Thank you, by far BEST. i have listened to this over and over and OVER, it just gets better and better. The music is absolutely beautiful. My dad (hit by a train in 2000) loved Merle and Willie - grew up with them, and I've lost my mom and sister in the last six months,just have to close my eyes now and know...damn....thanks for the grieving and the believing.

My father in law who passed away last yr, took me to my first country concert and it was these two men. I don't listen to country but these guys and Johnny Cash for some reason I just enjoy it.
i absolutely love Willie Nelson's voice.. so unique... his lyrics are heartfelt.. this is a throwback to "way back then" and i love it. Haven't bought a country album in years... this one is coming home with me. It's music from a past era... and one that i loved so much. #realcountryisback :)

In my opinion, one of Mickey's tastiest solos...a beautiful gentle slide right into that sweet pedal steel...one of the most un-wanky harp players I've ever heard. I mean, I like a good harp wank fest as much as the next guy, but I also really love the harp that serves the song above itself. This is probably my favorite Willie/Merle duet, especially given the proximity of the recording to Merle's passing. May everyone have at least one unfair weather friend.
