Russian national champion, world champion, and, finally, Olympic champion. It's crazy that she wasn't even having a great year, she was struggling in the national's, and some even questioned whether she should be part of the Olympic team. Well, look at her now.
I am so happy that Anna won. She works so hard and has such a good attitude towards the other people in the team and to her skating. She is so beautiful to watch. I love watching Kamila too but I really felt that Anna deserved to win the games. She has had a tough season and got it all together at exactly the right moment. So happy for her well earned medal of gold.
I agree, but if it was in my power all three of them would win the gold. They're all so beautiful to watch, and they're all also so beautiful inside and out. I felt sorry for Kamila that she didn't get bronze, Sasha that she was so mad and upset about silver when she's tried SOO hard to get a gold medal and she's been robbed every time, and Anna that she was hugging a teddy bear afterwards because everyone was attending to Kamila and Sasha. And maybe that was what she wanted anyways, but she just seemed so lonely. I love all of these girls, and that's why they should be, unanimously, Russia's women's figure skating team for 2026 Milano-Cortina. They're all golden in my eyes and it's too bad all three of them couldn't have won the gold
I remember when she broke her foot some time in 2017 at just 13 and was out for the whole season. I thought her career was over but she persevered, learned how to skate again with her new conditions and just worked hard to improve herself. I believe fate has definitely played its part in paving the way to bring her where she is now, even if it involved sidelining Valieva for now. So proud to have seen her rise to the occasion time and time again. It's really her mental strength and fortitude that gives her the advantage amongst the rest of her competitors. Congrats Anna, you truly deserve everything you have now.
When I saw her skating on Russian national Champ in December 2020 I told 'It's an Olimpic champion" And I'm really glad I was right She made her best perfomance in season in right place and right time

I really admire Anna for her behaviour toward the whole mess. Back in the day, Alina also react similar to this but I believe it was because she was younger, less experience and less power compare to Zhenya. And that how most ppl have to behave softly. Anna, on the other hand, is similar to the leader of her group, she is the one connect everyone back and also the one who stay there the longest (which means that have a stronger relationship with the coaches), and still handle the situation with grace. Such a lovely girl.
@@Q_from_Star_Trek Sasha had a mental breakdown not bad sportsman ship she quite literally was told that she’d win with her 5 quads and then poof Anna won. She deserved it yes, but Sasha was hurt by the fact that her coaches favorites Anna and went behind her back and supported Anna more.

How much determination does she have???First time surprised me when she won Russian nationals with COVID. Second time surprised me at Europeans by getting second place. And now at the OLYMPICS GAMES a GOLD medal.Once I knew this happened I burst into tears.
I just started to know about Anna recently and I am so impressed by her beautiful and wonderful performances in the Olympics ! And then I realized that she once broke her leg some years ago and missed a season or so, yet she persisted in ice skating and worked hard to overcome. Her perseverance in ice skating is really admirable! Your video matches the song so well that I am so touched.... Anna really deserved to win the gold medal, at the right time, at the right place! She has proved herself to be enough, to the world! No matter how the media or journalists pressurized her, she managed to speak up for herself so humbly, so suave, so intelligently! I like that she can always reply so wisely with sportsmanship. Her teammates are not bad, but Anna has tried her best, and the judges did their job! I think it's good that she won gold in the Olympics despite everyone hating and saying she will fail once she loses her consistency for a while before the Olympics. It's a good example to kids and everyone who dares to believe that if you believe in yourself and put your mind and body to work for something, faith and hardwork will get you there. She might not be the most technically gifted or the most talented, but she sure has the most will and perseverance throughout her career so far. I hope she sticks around for a long time.
Agree with you, until "she might not be the most technically gifted or the most talented"...she is extremely gifted, otherwise she would not jump quad Lutz and quad Flip, the most difficult jumps in skating...Nathan Chen jumps both, Vincent Zhou both, Grassl both, Shoma Uno just Flip, Hanyu no Flip and no Lutz, and these are the top men skaters...and not only that, but Anna jumps them with high GOEs...Nathan Chen's 4F+3T in the free skate was 19.60, Anna's 4F+3T was 18.66, Nathan Chen's 4F in the free skate was 15.24, Anna's 4F was 14.77, Trusova's (with edge call) 13.20...so she is very gifted not only technically, but artistically too...she is the whole package, finally a turly deserved Olympic Champion in women's competition.

I think her technique got slightly better just in time for the Olympics but it has seen worse times when people would criticized it heavily. That's why I said so. In my opinion, I think she's an extremely hard-working and humble person, she never stopped trying to improve and never said she's better than anyone despite having achieved those jumps. It's why she's my favourite skater. What I see is that her technique is not flawless even though she worked really hard. This leads me to think she's probably less talented than say Alëna who can train minimally and piss Eteri LOL or Evgenia who Eteri said did not train half as much as Alina, etc. Get me?

How much determination does she have???First time surprised me when she won Russian nationals with COVID. Second time surprised me at Europeans by getting second place. And now at the OLYMPICS GAMES a GOLD medal.Once I knew this happened I burst into tears.

I just started to know about Anna recently and I am so impressed by her beautiful and wonderful performances in the Olympics ! And then I realized that she once broke her leg some years ago and missed a season or so, yet she persisted in ice skating and worked hard to overcome. Her perseverance in ice skating is really admirable! Your video matches the song so well that I am so touched.... Anna really deserved to win the gold medal, at the right time, at the right place! She has proved herself to be enough, to the world! No matter how the media or journalists pressurized her, she managed to speak up for herself so humbly, so suave, so intelligently! I like that she can always reply so wisely with sportsmanship. Her teammates are not bad, but Anna has tried her best, and the judges did their job!
Besides, her creative videos made in Olympic village on instagrams are really amazing and amusing!!! Like what another fans said, Anna Shcherbakova, is beautiful inside and out! She's really really the best ever ! It's really her time now!

I think it's good that she won gold in the Olympics despite everyone hating and saying she will fail once she loses her consistency for a while before the Olympics. It's a good example to kids and everyone who dares to believe that if you believe in yourself and put your mind and body to work for something, faith and hardwork will get you there. She might not be the most technically gifted or the most talented, but she sure has the most will and perseverance throughout her career so far. I hope she sticks around for a long time.
Agree with you, until "she might not be the most technically gifted or the most talented"...she is extremely gifted, otherwise she would not jump quad Lutz and quad Flip, the most difficult jumps in skating...Nathan Chen jumps both, Vincent Zhou both, Grassl both, Shoma Uno just Flip, Hanyu no Flip and no Lutz, and these are the top men skaters...and not only that, but Anna jumps them with high GOEs...Nathan Chen's 4F+3T in the free skate was 19.60, Anna's 4F+3T was 18.66, Nathan Chen's 4F in the free skate was 15.24, Anna's 4F was 14.77, Trusova's (with edge call) 13.20...so she is very gifted not only technically, but artistically too...she is the whole package, finally a turly deserved Olympic Champion in women's competition.
@@Q_from_Star_Trek You're right there but I'm pretty sure many others would say she has debatable technique and is quite overscored. I think her technique got slightly better just in time for the Olympics but it has seen worse times when people would criticized it heavily. That's why I said so. In my opinion, I think she's an extremely hard-working and humble person, she never stopped trying to improve and never said she's better than anyone despite having achieved those jumps. It's why she's my favourite skater. What I see is that her technique is not flawless even though she worked really hard. This leads me to think she's probably less talented than say Alëna who can train minimally and piss Eteri LOL or Evgenia who Eteri said did not train half as much as Alina, etc. Get me?
