I did them last year (the hard way) but recently I’ve seen an easier method I can’t wait to try it today !

No u don’t want all that space you want as little bubbles and air as possible
I thought you need a little air so the glitter can move around? When I've tried them before, if I put too much oil inside it doesn't move :(

If you leave an air bubble, the glitter won’t move I suggest putting heavier glitter, so it’s can move easy and use critical oil that is lightweight rather than heavy one.

@@MariaNation I've seen some ppl swear by a bubble (LHPN/Emily Susannah) and I've seen ppl swear by no bubble (Lissette). Evie swears by liquid coconut oil, Emily likes baby oil, Lissette uses cuticle oil, I saw a woman use isopropyl alcohol. All of them make gorgeous sets. I think there's different methods u just gotta find what works for you, and it probably depends on the glitter you use too. I saw someone in a comment explain the physics of it all once but I was never great at high school science let alone physics 😂😂

I would love for u to try short aquarium nails! I tried on a medium nail last night (first time doing aquarium nails) and it was a bust! I'm gonna try it again using some of ur advice but I would love to see someone do them on short. Every video I've seen has been on these ridiculously long nails that noone can wear! Love ur videos! ❤
I think it's usually on long nails bc there isn't much room in short nails to add things and get a lot of movement

Oh! And also I don’t know if you have ever tried NBD’s Gelly’s but her BLUE ones are 😍 she has a blue and a teal. The green isn’t my favorite but the red, blue, teal oh yeah they’re on point. Orange too. She’s my top choice for nail art. Try shopping when she has sales, and I always use an influencers code to bring the price down even more (she has her own also in case you can’t find an influencers code, it’s just UA-cam).

Use alcohol to flush/rinse inside the even before you begin to seal the ends. The reason to use alcohol is it evaporates so dry time is short. Also try using lighter weight oils such as carrier oils. They are probably less expensive than using cuticle oil.

To do the short liquid/aquarim nails Ive never seen anyone try making a tank that includes the live nail bed. Like using a cover tip with a high apex so you have that area plus the tip as space for you aquarium nail❄💅🏾❄

Next time cure the nail right on top of the rhinestone glue and try a thinner layer

The air bubble actually need to pass the glitter, beads and stuff so it s most likely to get stuck which means less movement. Instead try not to have an air bubble. Good it worked even if this was the worst try I've ever seen. Sorry

Swipe is made from alcohol and acetone. The Dimethyl Ketone listed in the ingredients is actually acetone. I'm surprised it didn't work

I absolutely love the nails! I wish I had enough patience to do something like that lol. I have a question though I'm curious when you use the cuticle oil weren't you afraid that some of that oil would get in the cracks and make it not seal correctly ? Cuz that's actually a really good idea. Also yeah you should do one for short nails unless you already have and I haven't seen it yet lol.

It would be nice to see you do an actual snow globe nail, with a clear dome on top of the nail filled with liquid and glitter. There's a HUGE difference between snow globe nails and aquarium nails. Many viewers are now becoming confused by the term as many nail artists are using the term incorrectly as video titles. These are Christmas aquarium nails
I've been looking around since seeing ur comment n I'm not seeing anywhere where aquarium nails/snow globe nails/liquid nails are clearly defined. I think the terms are fairly interchangeable & the techniques/styles are different. There was an issue a while back where someone was threatening to sue ppl if they called their sets "aquarium nails" bc they owned a patent, so that could contribute to it. Also snow globe nails could refer to 2d nail art that mimicks a snowglobe. And theres also shaker nails which (to me) is a dome on the nail with little things inside but no liquid so when u shake ur hand it makes a rattle noise. So at the end of the day there doesnt seem to be hard and fast rules when it comes to this. Especially bc it's mostly the names of trends atp & everyone is going to have their own spin on it bc it's hand made art. No 2 will ever be the same 😊
