Well, quick info then.. Movie's from 2002 (it's about Vampires) - Jonathan Davis (vocalist of nu-metal band KoRn) wrote this song and some of the others. His vocals can be heard in the movie, hovewer his record label forbade him to release the songs with his vocals on the soundtrack so he invited a few friends (eg. Chester) and they did a phenomenal job singing those songs. You can check "Forsaken" from this soundtrack as well (it's sung by David Draiman of Disturbed). I am pretty sure others will request a lot of Disturbed songs anyway.
Another song was performed by wayne static from static-x . My understanding is that korn played the music but the other singers provided the lyrics

Wayne Static from Static X also had awesome musical spot on the soundtrack.... not to down-play the others.... so many big figures on this soundtrack.
Chester is a fan of the vampire chronicals. That is why Chester wanted to be apart of the soundtrack. Well Jonathan Davis did ask Chester to help and he accepted.
The songs are written from the viewpoint of the Vampire Lestat in the movie so it’s a vampire who has been around for hundreds of years and is slightly tortured by his existence,the movie is based on Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles books
Yeah this is about Lestat coming out into the world view and the ministry was not happy about it. Then the mother of all vampires Akasha Awakened from her slumber to seek out Lestat and make him her new King.

This movie is too old for now, back in my time it was SUUper the soundtrack sold like crazy and everyone love the movie... Aaliyah (the cover Queen) was a singer , model and actress , you might have seen her in some old movies like Romeo must die . Unfortunately she died in plane crash ...
Chester was also in a band off and on called Camp Freddy where a bunch of hall of fame rock stars form and perform iconic songs and Chester is such an amazing vocalist that these old school musicians wanted him to perform with them
I'm just assuming that other people have already answered, but oh wells here goes...
So these songs (well most of them) are suppose to be The Vampire Lestat singing. They combined multiple voices to make his voice, and had different artists; Korn, Disturbed... the lead singer of Linkin Park... they had them write and sing together and individually. To create this Vampires voice. There were even music videos for the songs, in the movie. Because his voice isn't suppose to sound human, it's suppose to sound supernatural/otherwordly. Even as a kid I was absolutely blown away my the effort and passion that was put it. And I know most of us, even after the movie continued to listen to just the music everyday. My sister and I would listen to it at school and while we did our homework, etc. So yes, the music was made directly for the movie, is featured in the movie and is a literal device/prop in the actual storyline. I mean it's not just the score of the movie that you hear in the background.

Yup, korn was meant to sing it but couldnt or something, imnot sure about the details, so david basically recruted friends of his to sing the songs instead. He does sing all of them tho, one his versions is heard in the movie.

This is my only hope/requirement for when AMC redoes this story "Queen of the Damned" is that they get the music right. Because this was the only good thing that came out of that movie. The sheer power that the music had, was so pleasing and so very Lestat. I really hope they get it right, the music was soo good
The movie is based on the Anne Rice books. It’s about an ancient vampire, who becomes a rock star. The scene this song is in is epic and is the only reason to watch it. Sadly, though, the movie version has vocals from Jonathan Davis, which is still awesome, but not as smoking hot as Chester’s.
Ive never seen it but heard good things about this movie. Apparently not long after the singer Aaliyah co starred in this movie she passed away.

In answer to question about movie...not good. Especially if an Anne Rice fan or a Interview with vampire series. I had expectations and meh. But the soundtrack is fantastic. This song is my favorite of soundtrack. Forsaken is damn good too!!! And I think song def feels related to vampire / blood/ body theme of movie. "Why won't you die?

I never understood why ppl hate this movie so much but I think for a modern movie it was done pretty well. Be mad at Hollywood 🤣 if anything

Eppielicious that is all Chester. Jonathan Davis was not allowed to sing on the soundtrack it all. Jonathan sang in the movie but not the soundtrack. It is all Chester's voice just Laird on top of each other. Chester could also make his voice have that rasp just like Jonathan Davis does. It is 1 of the reasons why Jonathan asked Chester to do this song.

the movie was ok but the soundtrack was god like you got so many amazing artists on the tracks. And the books by Anne rice are great to but this movie was god awful as a adaption so much that Anne rice herself disowned it. But i always love to come back and revisit this soundtrack Jay Gordon form orgy has the best track in the ST in my opinion.
I'm sorry, but I feel like I have to say this. It doesn't effect my watching these types of videos, however, a reaction video: is a video that people react to. In other words your facial expressions, and not your openion. If your pausing a video to talk, it is not a reaction video, but instead: it's an analysis video. At least, that is what I believe. It ticks me off that I watch, what I believe is a reaction video, and UA-camrs get mad at people for telling them not to pause. It just demonstrates the ignorance, and in a few cases, stupidity: of the UA-camr making videos.

To expose people to more than just what yhey can see n hear. Th es music in this movie really introduced me to korn disturbed and manson. Open your mind. I enjoyed hearing this again. Its been a long time.
