Is this the same little girl that came 2nd in the Menuhin competition in 2012, yes of course it is, how she has blossomed !! I think she may become the worlds finest violinist within a few years time.
Kavin Pari Tbh, that's a fair assumption to make, but I also feel it's just a little unfair to her that the world now expects her to just... violin, forever. She might be great at science or interested in art and end up studying something completely removed from music, or even just decide she likes the piano better, or anything else could happen, and somehow everyone would jump to the conclusion that giving up this one talent means she's wasting her life and there's no other possibility for her. No hate to you, of course, but I just thought I'd show my support for her while trying not to be a source of pressure on her to continue something that's entirely her choice to continue!
La preuve indéniable que la musique transcende n'importe quel langage, elle est universelle et fantastique. J'espère avoir aussi bien joué lors de mon dernier solo XD genre jusqu'à en hypnotiser le public ・x・
Damn that 4th finger is tiny so for her to be so good without having that advantage of a longer one is impressive, people think it doesnt make a difference but many of the great violinists/pianists have long fingers, even if it means you struggle .1% less that compounds over thousands of hours of practice and could be the difference between world class soloist and concert master
In the close-up of the soloist, I could only see female 1st violins. I thought for a moment it was a women's orchestra. Eventually I saw a few men (trombone and clarinet). So I guess classical music is not popular with men in Korea?
it is just set of which ones are the most dedicated. it varies between generations. if you are dedicated, you will be good. since you are good, you make it into the professional orchestra. they have blind auditions. you are in a room with a one way mirror. you see them, they dont see you. they hear you. the best ones are chosen. hope this helps!
Don't give up - you will improve! But here are some tips: Do you practice every day? That's important. Do you go over & over little bits you find difficult? That's important too! Do you listen to the sound you're making: it's very important to be both "performer" and "audience" when you play an instrument.
I started at 7 and am 18 now but I rarely practice... there can be several month long pauses between me picking up my violin again, so no wonder I'm shitty tbh

lovemetu How did she get 2nd?! Who got 1st? I wanna see their performance
+AudeyMATIK! Zuyi He
Zuyi He was in the 2016 competition of a different age category. for her year i think the winner was kevin zhu.
yep he played carmen fantasy
is she one of the finest already here?
I'm not a musician and I have no musical training but to my ears she's brilliant.
U don't need to be a musician to appreciate these kinda things. But it's still a valid statement
Does anyone else see the other violinists behind her looking depressed...
I bet they're just concentrating
which one they all look kinda depressed,
or their just very focused trying not get distracted by the AmAzing violinist in the front
If she chooses to pursue violin further when she's an adult, she's going to go far.
Nazish Talati duh she’s gonna Pursue violin

She'll probably be a constitutional lawyer and architect
surgeon and soccer champ in case music doesn't pan out
What an amazimg thing to say! Can't you tell how great she is NOW!
Meanwhile I’m sitting here eating cheez-its and crying over cartoon characers at 15
Seeing that comparison may be your first step in the journey of an amazing life - get started! xx
You can learn a lot from cartoons. 😂 Crying over characters means you are empathic, she might not be.
An astonishing talent.
I came here from the prodigy vid on utube and im so glad i found her
정말 아름다운 공연입니다💖
I was shocked when I understood that this girl is older than me, LOL 😂😂
She plays really awesome violin, congratulations
Haha she is
The same age as me
Do you want to build a coffin?
For me
Yeah.... same.... 😩😩😩
fra mei Same jfc. In fact depending on her birthday she's possibly younger than me and I'm crying
She is a year older than me.. but she in the the whole other league omg
P R A C T I C E.... she probably practices 40 hours a day
This is very inspiring playing.
Thanks for sharing your fantastic performance!
My lord she's great...
She is gorgeous
This is the most epic sibelius violin concerto 1st movement I've ever seen
moved to tears, she is remarkable and sadly completely outshines the orchestra
ht gar I really like the contrast though, they're like a rainy sky to a brilliant sun
As in, they're the calming storm and she's the dancing rays of light
That's her job though, the orchestra is only there as support
It's absolutely fantastic both seeing and hearing this art at work!! Wowowow it's good!!!!!!
spectacular! bravo
진짜 연주 항상 너무 멋져요
Bravo!
Brilliant
Ok when I first saw her perform she was just a little kid, now she’s a grown girl. I feel old even if I’m just 12
Oh nice she's also playing without any music in front of her. That's good to know.
Ben V I think all string players have to have the music memorized
It takes almost no skill to memorize. I'm some mediocre player from Tucson and I memorize my pieces after a month
Greetings from Poland
Sibelius was a genius! Amazing
magnifico magnifico
소리가 정말 아름답네요....
I love you SOO 😍😍😘
omg mind blowing

rip 7:50
HUGE goosebumps
She looks more at home with the violin than other violinist I can think of.
Oh, vielen Dank!
Love you so much 😚😚😚

Louis Emery it is ...
Louis Emery or it could just be that these were the individuals chosen to play, maybe the most talented etc?
nop they are all at the north korean borders, fighting

Quite a few men in the violas, though ;D
Genius
faces from behind says it all! :DDDDD
OMG
SooBeen, I love your playing! Have you ever considered coming to Philadelphia and getting an artist diploma at the Curtis Institute of Music?
flutist218 fuck off
Dat Boi wtf that's mean dude
I think he career flourishes on the Eastern continents but I would love to see her play in America once
America doesn't care about this kind of art anymore, which is a crime against humanity
I wonder how long that it took her to memorize her solo.
Knowing her, this is probably her second time playing it
No!!!!! this triggers me. Literally all ok violinists can memorize long before they master the piece.
The video says 16:01 so that's probably how long it took
The concertmaster is so pretty
gawdamm
Бравісімо!
Oh damn
Zertifizierte intergalaktische!
Is that a full sized violin.....? 🤔
彼女の才能は、そこのけそこのけ、向かう所敵無し。
What violin does she have? It sounds amazing. The tone gives me goosebumps. So textured, so deep, so woody, so soft.
so true, usually something so textured, deep and woody isnt soft amiright
Ling Ling nods in approval
우와............. ;;;; 아기때 연주 보고 왔는데 우와!!!
How old is she now? I'm really curious...
Well, she was 15 here in 2016
Mean while I can't play twinkle twinkle
The people behind her tho
A bit off track but shes got a lot thinner😂
Joyce Li yup after playing too much violin😂
The squished-faced expression of hers is still the same though 😂
It was kinda like baby chub that everyone has. It goes away after puberty
7:51 :/ she didn't hit it!!
same mimics
lol I'm fifteen and I still play like shit (been playing for 3 years)

me but I've been playing violin for like 6 yrs and still sound like trash
@@audreyjones7990 awe same. But I'm getting better
I started at 7 and am 18 now but I rarely practice... there can be several month long pauses between me picking up my violin again, so no wonder I'm shitty tbh
This music is not in her DNA....
she still looks shrimpy
