This video is to update you the current status of the CHENNAI BEACH - CHENNAI EGMORE 4th railway line project. Due to some unwanted interruptions while capturing, the videos have been taken on two different days, however I have made the video with crystal clearly with current updates.

Excellent update you have given. You are right the Entire work will be completed by October end. Top priority should be given for restoration of services between Chintadripet to Chennai Beach Station. All the Best.

We have seen so many updates. When the projected completion date , when will it be thrown open to public and MRTS restored till Beach. ? Coinciding either this completion will the Velachery - St Thomas Mount section too will be activated ? Then only the full utilisation will be ensured.
Train operations between CHENNAI BEACH & CHINTADRIPETTAI can be expected by October.
Between VELACHERY & ST. THOMAS MOUNT can be expected by this year end.
The above details may differ in the future.

St Thomas mount will actually take more time because above MRTS St Thomas mount. There is metro . CRS inspection won't alone that mrts to open if that construction is not over. Maybe January or February that mrts might open.

Bro can express line would have possibility to use for mrts train from velachery to msb at 5th platform at beach which is laid at 4th line new one now and 6th platform will be used as usual for mrts train from beach to velachery so that when ever exp trains comes mrts can halt a min at fort when it passes through Fort to egmore via 5th platform at beach when it Crosses at fort once line is being cleared mrts can operate from fort to beach at 5th platform when one line only if alloted from fort to beach as y said if occurs if not means no need to do this process reply
It is very difficult to use the express line for MRTS, because it will be a zigzag manner if the railway uses the express line as an MRTS line. Because the new 4th line which connects with PF 5 is going to be used as from CHENNAI BEACH line, at the same time MRTS needs to use that line as towards CHENNAI BEACH, both are opposite directions. So it is not possible to use the express line for the MRTS.
In short form:
MRTS needs a line towards MSB
but the 5th PF line is going to be used as a line from MSB, so it is not possible. It's just my opinion let us wait and watch, some miracles may happen.
