Thx! Was helping. I did not realise first that you have to use the middle plug to charge the battery….so be careful how to connect the cables to the battery
Well depends what your criteria is to 'persuade anyone', if its ease of install....AXS is easier, I would disagree that mechanical is easier than this di2, sure maybe people will have problems with battery install, but the wireless shifters, no mechanical gearing shifting, thinner connection cables......this di2 has worked flawlessly since I made this unbox video. Hope you get your idea setup , thanks for watching
Great walk thru! Just get a long Di2 cable for future updates to the gear shifters. Assuming here that Shimano - in spite of promising this - will not deliver on wireless updates for the shifters (big fail). You will still need to take the battery out of the seat post to plug the other end into the dummy plug for the update, but that's manageable.
Thanks for the info! hopefully wont need to do that anytime soon. so far, its been extremely reliable, only thing I notice, I have to wake up the system by clicking once on the left shifter before I can use the right shifter
hi, was your battery charged out of box? I've just received my complete set (but the charging cable is yet to come), but my rear derailleur isn't switched on after connection to the battery. I assume the battery is dead, but I can't find any information on whether or not it comes charged out of box.
@@BosHK got my charging cable. fortunatelly everything is ok and the derailleur works fine. But this is weird that the battery was completely dead and definitely this is not good for the battery itself.
@@alex_klinovoy I have the same problem, but when I connect my rear derailleur to the charger (iPhone charger) nothing happens, no led light. my brand new system not working at all. any ideas?
@@Tom_swrsc hey Tom, have you connected a rear derailleur to the battery in a proper way, i.e. from the rear derailleur to central port of the battery? Have you tried to switch wires (use from the front derailleur), have you tried other charger blocks? if yes, you need to debug all things separately to find a cause - rear derailleur, wires, battery, charging cable. I would say you need to find a bike with 100% working groupset (local bike shop, friends, etc) and try to connect your parts one by one to and find the broken one. Probably I would go this way if I ran into the same problems. Cheers, let us know if you solve the issues
Hello, There, Watched ur video, fantastic ! Cheers.i got a purchase of di2 12 speed, all got connected except shifters, both bar codes aren't been recognised by the e tube app, !!!

Well done. More than enough there to persuade anyone to buy SRAM AXS or stick with mechanical

@@BosHK funny since you were also only asked to update one shifter - maybe there’s a defect?
@@meibing4912 hi. Probably from different batches, that's why you should do the updates before installing it onto bike.
Great and usefully ❤

hello, I would suggest you take it back or contact your retailer. It should be an instant recognition by the app
