That's an extraordinary rise. In that time, science has evolved, prediction models have evolved and scientists are somewhat shocked at the pace of climatic changes. No point comparing 1970s or 1980s to what we know now. I've a book at home by Danny Chivers that I've had since it was published in 2010. What you are hearing on the news, from COP 24,5,6, from activists is not new info, it has been well studied, very well documented and is playing out in real time. If you haven't already, I'd read thst book and the IPCC 6th assessment report. The summary for policy makers is completely understandable for non scientists. What people thought in the past is irrelevant to what's happening now and what will be happening down the line.

Should all houses be insulated? All houses are insulated. Those who cannot afford to insulate their home get money from the Government to get it insulated. These morons are protesting about something that isn't an issue, and they're all hypocrites, they don't care about the environment. The reason they protest is to annoy people, and that's where they get their enjoyment.
Why are they protesting on the road and inconveniencing motorists? They can't do this at the offices of those that have power and authority to meet their demands?
People are stressed driving on a Motorway without adding this sh#t to it. I don't understand if they blame the Government why don't they sit at the entrance to the Houses of Parliament Car Park and affect the MPs..... That would get them more support.
The women were dragged away during that vigil because we were under lockdown even the original vigil organiser abandon the plan because she thought it was irresponsible, this woman needs to get her facts right.
@Matthew Hale Its worth noting that whilst the vigil was deemed to be illegal due to covid rules, the aggression that was shown is a stark contrast to the way these people are being treated by the police...who have almost enabled them! Now, I'm in favour of the police not being unnecessarily aggressive when arresting people who are not resisting violently and that's clearly been the case, but it is very noticeable how they are politicised into treating protestors for different causes differently...and that is a serious problem. Now personally I think what Insulate Britain are doing is every bit as irresponsible and dangerous when it causes road blockages for people who are trying to get to hospital for emergencies, or for appointments for investigations or treatment, trying to work to keep a roof over their heads, missing job interviews, and children cant get to school when they have already been impacted so badly by lockdown. On another note, can you imagine the danger they posed when trying to get onto the M25...can you imagine the pile up and risk to life of a car trying to avoid hitting them, or the horror the drivers and witnesses would have to live with if one had been hit? That's a completely different level of severity compared to those people who went to pay their respects at a vigil.
Reporter must have gone out of his way to find people that were sympathetic to their cause, if I was being held up I would use the car to gently nudge them out of the way, if they are glued to the road or too stupid to move then they get run over very slowly

And, I drove the entire M25 yesterday, to and from Hastings, and in case you are wondering why the police are loathe to do anything about these dangerous extremists it because they themselves are very busy, sitting on every bridge and walkway that crosses the M25 with mobile speed cameras. They simply havent got the manpower
At Rickmansworth M25 J18 they were near the top of the slip road waiting for the red light when we came through - we were in the last group of vehicles to get through before they had a "liccle sit down" - I was taking my Dad to a Cancer treatment appointment at Mount Vernon - had I been stopped from getting him to hospital I would have definitely got out for a "quiet word" The cause seems just - but the way they are attempting to get their message across is not making friends quickly, because they are affecting ordinary people. They missed an opportunity to sit on a road recently and get world publicity at the London Marathon, but didn't - Up there for thinking ..... down there for running 26 miles 385 yards. The point is this, who doesn’t want to do what can be done to look after the planet? I’ve never met a person who says “oh yeh I want to destroy the planet”. But this isn’t the way to argue the point of insulating homes.
I believe what I’ve said there is the view of the average British person who’s just trying to live their life.
yes, correct, that's the view probably of any average Person, British or not. regards.
@@wolfrahmphosphoros5808 Exactly, maybe instead of British I should of just put person
2 tier Policing. Imagine the response, if they were Tommy Robinson supporters blocking the road?
Cracking point.👍
Exactly.
They wouldn’t stop me! Simples!
Go to streets of Sunderland Middlesbrough Bolton Leeds stoke etc and ask the question.
I had the same thought. They’re wouldn’t get away with This crap up north
ohhh they would not even dare
Gluing themselves to the road? Throw acetone all over them.
Their actions meet the dictionary definition of terrorism. Treat them as such.
Blocking the highway. Offence. My right….use reasonable force to remove these wankers. My reasonable would def not be their reasonable
just as well I wasn't asked
I wouldn't mince my words and it would just about be broadcastable
Give them a fair warning.
Then accelerate and don’t stop.
In Russia they’d use tanks.
Yup lol
Drag them out of the road
Did you hand pick these people 🤔
Skip rats. If I'm unable to maintain autonomy in my daily life, I'll consider it unlawful detainment and I'll defend myself with force.
Drive straight through them.
I am not sympathetic to them, and am not saying on here how i feel really about them and what i would like to see done to them.
Keep dragging them off the road and tell them to go and get a job! The UK are too weak!
were these ALL the people they asked, because most of the people I know would drag em off themselves...
The guy who was preaching patience most likely lives with his parents and has absolutely no idea about anything
The lack of intellect and understanding in our young members of our community is quite scary.
I didn't see an example of that in this clip.
When I first heard predictions of "We've only got five years to do something" I was worried too. I was a young person and I didn't know any different. Fifty years on and I know different.
@@cornishhh I think your right, I just always had a mind that questioned, I remember at Sunday school learning about Noah’s Ark and remember thinking what a load of crap.
@@cornishhh 50 years ago in 1970 or thereabouts are you suggesting that people were fearful of the end of civilization due to climate change in the way they are today? They weren't. 1970s CO2 ppm was under 330. Scientists then were suggesting warming and sea level rise from the 2000s with varying degrees of severity of outcome. Now the ppm is over 400.
@@johnblack3313 agreed Biblical stories are myths. They also have nothing to do with human influenced climate change
Next time they glue themselves to the road just leave them there for 24 hours and see how much they enjoy it then !
“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the Weather.” - Bill Hicks
That’s a quote from a legend that I haven’t heard in years ✌🏻
Tell them “u have ten seconds to comply”
robocop would be a very good alternative right now!!!
Should all houses be insulated ? Well probably. Is it such an urgent issue to warrant all this attention and disruption. No.
They can't do this at the offices of those that have power and authority to meet their demands?
my point exactly. regards.
People are stressed driving on a Motorway without adding this sh#t to it. I don't understand if they blame the Government why don't they sit at the entrance to the Houses of Parliament Car Park and affect the MPs..... That would get them more support.
They wont do that because they know they would be removed straight away the hard way
"Run them over" - Cancelled 1950s man
As long as it blocks everyone else and not themselves they are happy with it
if they do not value human life, why should we value theirs?
Well said
Exactly
I would make sure the next destination for them is the A-E Department ....I hope the Ambulance doesn`t get held up....
Should they not be gluing themselves to buildings to help with insulation
Reporter must have gone out of his way to find people that were sympathetic to their cause, if I was being held up I would use the car to gently nudge them out of the way, if they are glued to the road or too stupid to move then they get run over very slowly
Really? You'd commit murder?
@@AK-ru3sg Not murder, possibly assisted in their suicide.
If I had to be somewhere, then the gloves are off. I pay to use the road.
I would turn my car around and back it up to them sitting there and rev my engine so they can breath my exhaust fumes. I would do this until they moved or died.
Now that's a good idea.
Ask the same question outside of the major cities.
'They are going about it the wrong way' - is such a polite, British understatement
Drag em away half these muppets buy food on Uber, get it delivered, don't support local farms, dont Cook, buy Nike runners. Plastic shoes that do not decay. Buy Iphones. Plastic clothes
If they had a philosophy you could have a bit of respect.
If I come across them I will honestly be kicking as many in the face as I can
Guess it's not just men who are violent
Everyone get in their vehicles and rev their engines as high and as loud as possible, and smother their uncaring self righteousness with carbon monoxide fumes and noise.
At Rickmansworth M25 J18 they were near the top of the slip road waiting for the red light when we came through - we were in the last group of vehicles to get through before they had a "liccle sit down" - I was taking my Dad to a Cancer treatment appointment at Mount Vernon - had I been stopped from getting him to hospital I would have definitely got out for a "quiet word"
The cause seems just - but the way they are attempting to get their message across is not making friends quickly, because they are affecting ordinary people.
They missed an opportunity to sit on a road recently and get world publicity at the London Marathon, but didn't - Up there for thinking ..... down there for running 26 miles 385 yards. Not really got a leader
Some of these replies reinforce my belief we are completely lost as a country. *sigh*
I think it's very telling that "Insulate Britain" concentrate their efforts almost exclusively on the M25. I guess this is because it's a nice convenient drive in their Range Rover Discoveries from their homes in Guildford, Kensington and Hampstead...
Wrong! Its because if they came up North and glued themselves to the M62 they would be dead!
@@garyfryer5334 Yes, that possibility actually occurred to me after I wrote my original comment...I guess they stick to the M25 because they know they stand less chance of being beaten up, and less chance of being banged up...
Throw them all in jail and if any of them glue themselves to the Road, LEAVE THEM THERE all through the night and see if they are still there in the morning.
The police using a softly softly approach will back fire when the public decide they have had enough and start taking the law in to their own hands.
What do you mean might back fire, that has already has on the Woke left wing police force which have now lost all of the of the public's support...
I dont give a dam for their course id literally drag them out my way with no hesitation or remorse
Backpack weed killer sprayer full of Unleaded. You wouldn’t even need to ignite it as they’d be off like rats up drainpipes the instant they twigged what you were spraying…
must admit that had crossed my mind too
ill just make sure ivegot a big bottle of water in the car, if i get held up just fill up my bladder and.......
Farmers with muckspreaders. Problem solved.
I find it hard to believe that the majority of people did not say that these clowns need to get a job or to work and stop ruining people's livelihoods and if I were involved in traffic jams or whatever dragged them off the roads like people did last week where our police force which taxpayers pay wages do nothing!!
Disgrace!!
Let the public lose on these wackos & they'd see that their hated beyond saving the plant.
It would be very apt if they were beaten up by irate motorists and needed medical attention, only to find that first responders couldn't attend due to another section of the highway being blocked by fellow protesters.
The guy who'd wait patiently probably will never work an HGV driving job
“Will kill us all” who’s telling these kids these lies?
Teacher's
From the accents I take it these interviews are in London which simply does not reflect the country at large
Patrick Christys is great! Been listening to him since he was on Andre Walkers channel and buzzing that he’s on GB news
Anyone obstructing your right to travel and freedom if movement you should be allowed to defend yourself against. No one has the right to detain an innocent person.
Prior to this, what would have happened to anyone hitchhiking on the motorway? What's having a cause got to do with rules and laws? Flouting the law in a gang because of some cause is no different from breaking it as an individual.
right! it should have NOTHING to do with breaking the Law. regards.
They should go to Newcastle on Sunday and try to stop people getting to the match.
The law should be seen to be applied equally, whereas it obviously isn't.....
How about the police treating them the way they would if it was an EDL or anti-lockdown protest?
No chance of that. When they are protesting for something that the establishment want, the police will use the softly softly approach
I'd offer them a job, they'd run a mile! lol
I like it.
Don't understand why all the motorists don't get out of their cars and move them themselves instead of sitting in their cars for hours doing nothing. Timorous weak and useless come to mind.
Just drag them off the road
Fine them, lock them up, and if they drive revoke their driving licence!
just so disgusted at the general public at this point.
Its tricky is it dear well if you have an accident and are in need of help I hope those around you don't think " ooo should we call a diesel spewing ambulance or save the ever growing population of polar bears hmmm ? Tricky "
I’m surprised how inarticulate people are. They all seemed to struggle to answer the question properly.
Probably because of the current cancel culture: one wrong word and you get hounded by a Twitter mob.
Oh dear these youngsters
Oh no the environment 5 years we will be dead
Get out of the road and grow up
Drag them away
