Nam crazy huh. Vietcong was the point why im starting hearing rock from the late 60`s and 70`s, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, The Stones and that guides me later to heavy metal. I owe the game a lot. And there are still people they say videogames are unable to inspirate people.
@CAPTAINSARGE I remember the first time I installed it was back in 2003, almost nine years ago, good memories, get in those tunnels was a beautiful thing, a wrong turn and dodge the traps was even more beautiful. I still remember all the missions after almost 10 years, and the music, drawings, and the diary was the best thing to read the breaks between missions, the only regret was not being able to walk into the base when they wished. sorry for my English but I'm Italian
@moricchio Dude your english was spot on. Playing Vietcong made me Nam crazy for a while. I bought the TV series Tour of Duty because of it. Some of the missions in the series are actually similar to the missions in the game. Great atmosphere alround especially in the tunnels as you mentioned. Night missions . Papa Oscar Whiskey best ever. Crocker Defort etc I still miss the boys. Vietcong 2 was a real disappointment to me but at least Hawkins makes a cameo appearance . Must install on W7
Vietcong 2 has been very disappointing for me, I bought it on pre order, but graphically it was nice though with a modern graphical had no real texture those of the first VC in my room I have all the Viet Cong with the original case, I also bought the purple haze for xbox last year came out a good movie, tunnel rats. one of the few films on the Vietnam War in the last ten years.
