Why does this amazing performance still have so few views and only 1 comment? I haven't heard of Ms. Paik before now but will be listening to more of her work. She totally killed it here, even bringing in some of the humorous moments that often get overlooked in this Mount Everest of piano transcriptions
As 1 who has been to classical concerts for 20 yrs I can say this lady is a genius! Her technique, the range of sound, she really loves playing this virtuoso piece. Lucky audience!
This is an amazing performance of this masterpiece ! I have followed Ms Paik for years and can say that she is a world-class musician, performer and wish we could hear more of her.
I guess it is among the piano pieces that can provide the player with potential neurological damages. And the musical value of it does not match the effort.

I first heard HaeSun in Santa Barbara in 1987, and her performance of Debussy that day *still* impresses me. I am glad to see this video!
I will also be uploading her Debussy recording in the near future.

Damn!
I’ve heard them all until I heard this one. Fantastic playing. Truly great.

bosendorfer is the only way to play liszt

You have to ask pianists this question, who mastered the work, to be sure. I guess you will be proven wrong.
so I don't like works of Franz Liszt.
