I graduated in 2009 , then wasted 2 yr preparing GATE , then ibps bank exams , then , ssc cgl , railway, now age is over for govt exams , no job exp now, now thinking to do mba, should I do mba or not ? its very long gap now

I do agree the gap is long. Top MBA colleges are very critical in their interviews so I cannot comment whether your interview experience over there will be smooth or not.
But having said this, if you manage to get a good respectable percentile, and prepare for the interview well, you can definitely land up into a good respectable college.
Don’t forget to target all MBA related exams like SNAP,NMAT,XAT,CET,CMAT to increase your chances of landing up into a good college.

hey ishita , i am joining average mba college this year( finance specialization ) . can you tell me how can i be ahead of my peer group to get the better placement (i am fresher ) . what certifications should i do ? i thought of excel but then got to know that college is providing that certificate . what should i focus on ?
Hello,
1) Once you get into the college try to get into the placement committee of the college to increase your networking.
2) Do some free courses from LinkedIn learning related to your specialisation.
3) You can look for paid certifications from Coursera.
4) You can also work on your soft skills because at the end of the day they are the most important ones in MBA.
5) Become an expert of powerpoint . You will be expected to make a lot of ppts in MBA college.
6) When you get into the college, participate in a lot of case study competitions from D2C website. Trust me it will elevate your resume.
7) Finance related certifications like - Financial management, wealth management , financial modelling, accounting standards, financial analysis etc. ( all these are short term courses on Coursera)

Hello, Ma'am! So firstly thank you so much for this informative video. it was much needed for me although I had a few doubts and I was hoping if you could resolve that. So my profile is 86 in 10th, 73 in 12th and 61 in Bsc Physics honours which I recently completed in may 2024. So the doubt that I have exactly is I've been working for the past 8 months in an MNC Law firm and I'm aiming to get into IIM B and I've heard they value experience more so what I would like to know is whether my profile a well fit for BLACKIS or should I focus on XAT more who don't value the acads much and also wanted to know if my experience where I'm working will even be relevant or not, thank you so much for going through this comment, I'd really appreciate if you would take your valuable time to reply to this one, thanks again ✌

It is a myth that XLRI doesn’t value acads. Infact, the interview of XLRI is one of the most critical ones among all the b schools in the country.
Secondly, your work ex can be from any domain. But you should be prepared for all the counter questions that you may be asked related to your job .
Thirdly, don’t restrict yourself to particular set of colleges. Keep your options opened for all the MBA exams.
That will increase your chances of going into a good b-school.

Okay! Aap inme se kuch cheeze kar skte ho:
1) agar aap clear ho kis specialization mei jana hai apko to paid courses Coursera se karlo ya free courses LinkedIn learning se b kar skte ho usse related. Coursera ka ek bht acha course hai Excel ka wo b kar skte ho. Bht acha course h.
2) social service karna chahte ho to ek NGO join karlo. And make sure to have a certificate for the time you work there
3) internships karna chahte ho like digital marketing wagera mei to inetrnshala par dhund skte ho.
4) content creation mei thoda b interest h to apne area of interest se related ya to blogs likhna shuru kardo ya videos b bna skte ho.
5) Koi favourite hobby hai apko to competition mei part lo aur certificates lo.
Basically aap bht kuch kar skte ho just make sure har cheez ka proof ho apke pass in terms of certificates.

Hello! If you haven’t appeared for CUET then you wont be able to join TISS this year.
Also i was reading through google and their website the decision is pending that moving forward if TISS will take CUET scores or CAT scores.
So my advice - you start preparing for both. CUET will be held next year and CAT will be held this year.

Uske baad build your profile. Become part of place com. Try to increase your network. And try to stay in the cream

Wont recommend. Their placement records are not promising. According to me you should not consider it
But di udhar placement ni hote hai ? Just want to avoid my gap year.
Placement hai lekin ache nahi hai numbers unke. Unki placement report dekhi mene. Average unka bht kam h(5-6 lakhs k around). Doesn’t make sense to me🙂
Plus i am not reading good things about the university online.

Na its no rocket science. Just secure decent percentile to get a call from them. Interview process is fairly easy

Hey I graduated(bcom honours) in 2023, preparing for CAT again..should I solely focus on CAT with a gap year as percentile is the most imp thing or should I join a CA firm as an intern for two months before taking CAT this year?? How do you judge your preparation? Is it going on the right path?
If answer is yes, then you can consider to devote some time of your day to internship.
But if you think you need more quality time for your preparation then focus solely on the exam . Additionally either join some NGO or do certifications alongside to have something to say about the gap!
@ishitadewan5527 I still have a lot of backlogs to cover. What if I solely focus on prep right now and maybe in December I will join as an intern because the timing of the office is 10-6 even for the interns.
