- Mangart Saddle is a high mountain pass located in the Julian Alps, on the border between Italy and Slovenia. Mangart Road is a narrow 12-kilometre long asphalt road, beating 980 metres of altitude and going through five tunnels, carved into bedrocks. The road to Mangart Saddle (Slovene: Mangartsko sedlo) is the highest paved road in Slovenia. It has an elevation of 2,072 metres and it is the most common starting point for the ascent of Mt. Mangart (2,679m), the third-highest peak in Slovenia, after Triglav and Škrlatica. This panoramic road, which was built in 1938 by Italian soldiers and which has been renovated several times since, constantly pampers with views of the picturesque Julian Alps. Honda CBF 1000 FA
Nice road and clip!
Thanks👍
Rode the Mangart a couple of times in June, last time it was late June & the road nr the top was closed due to the amount of snow.
What month of the year where you here? Were planning on going in september. Were hearing story's about snow on the route etc. Beautifull
I drove the Mangart road in late august 2018. Generally, september is a great time to visit the Mangart Pass. Make sure you check the weather forecast before you go.
I am local - well, sort of :D I live close and I have been at Mangart saddle quite a few times, because it is one of my favorite places. In September you should be good, even October or November is still fine, but all depends on the weather, because snow means inaccessible road. All in all, autumn is a great time to drive up there, because of yellow grass and golden larch trees.
Road on Marngart its awesome . Its like a road P14 Durmitor Montenegro
A few years ago, I drove on the P14 road, but unfortunately, I didn't record anything. Yes, there are indeed similarities; both roads are narrow and at a high altitude, and the scenery is incredible.
Aku lebih suka tanpa musik .. lebih suka alami suara sekitar dan kendaraan lewati alam sekitar.
The music spoils this . I don’t think it’s necessary, it’s very distracting.
