- Today we're going over the watch trading academy review. This course is by Pejman Ghadimi. In the watch trading academy review we'll go over the main components of the course itself and how it would be to actually trade rolexs, trade all of these watchs themselves. Watch trading is an art and a business and won't be as easy as getting $10,000 every 72 hours.
In the review I'll cover:
Trading watches on eBay, watch forums such as chrono 24, Pejman Ghadimi first goes over market research on the watch. You go over the basics, first you look at the sold watches on eBAY and you see what the watch sold for. It could be a rolex, AP, hublot, etc. Pejman then just mentions that you click "sold" and from there you'll know exactly what the market demands of that particular watch. From there you can make offers on other watches.
Market Research
Watch trading is a bit of a tricky thing. The rolex market for example depending on watch supply and demand will vary. If you are only buying from verified sellers from chrono24 or ebay- they are very savvy and will be 1 step ahead of you. That is one thing to pay attention to.
I believe this is his watch conspiracy course as well.
I broke down the numbers on the reality of trading rolexes for example and how much working capital you would need to make this side hustle a reality. Watch trading isn't for newbies and those unfamiliar.
Fake rolexes and replica rolexes, hublots and APs are no joke these days and are hard to verify.
So be careful.

I love the honesty on this video. I felt the same way about the entire thing as well. Ive been selling watches for a few years now and all of the segments were so basic and definitely didn't see the value in the price ALONG with them trying again to up-sell for more info and better videos. YOU are spot on with the "this is everything thats wrong with the culture we have today" I absolutely agree. Great review and killer channel.

I don't think we should blame UA-cam for bad courses. We should blame people for promising hope and success and being vague just to make a profit. THAT isn't right. People really are suffering and they get put into a WORSE position because of people that take advantage. It makes me sick. Watches are NOT investments, buy what you love and that’s end of story. Market has never seen this crazy hyper inflationary rise. It’s a once in a life time thing. Passion assets not investments!!!!!

Thanks for this honest review! I’m not saying PJ’s a total scam but there are tons of “experts” out there nowadays trying to make money off their so-called courses. Most of what they teach is either common sense or a complete waste of time and money! In some cases you probably actually know more than they do.
Not surprised at all. This is a course made by a guy that also offers a course claiming the average Joe can buy a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren. It’s pipe dream courses.

And what i am doing is literally watching every you tube watch channel i can and that way you can see how the various people, collectors, dealers and other enthusiasts are into and why certain brands or models command the best prices. Try to mix it up as much as you can, for example watch the channel "watchbox reviews" for the most current watch prices, ref numbers and features and so on. Then find a "mainnstream watch magazine" like watches.tv, they talk about all super high end horology, things like double tourbillon's and remontoirs, minute repeaters etc. The goal in this stage is to literally study your potential customers. Your not really gonna be dealing to them but the point is to suck in as much information as you can, you'll start to pick up on the different terminology and tiers or levels of collectors, entry level, mid tier and so on. You can do this for free, you just have to put in the time. At first it will seem like its just too much information, but soon enough you will start to learn brands and models by heart. What you want to be able to do is look at someone, talk to them and be able to tell what kind of watch they want without havind to ask

I was on the fence too on this course and although he did offer a money back guarantee but when I tried to call the number listed on his website I got a number not in service message which was an immediate red flag. After watching your video I’m glad I didn’t pull the trigger.

Thanks for validating what my critical thing was telling me. I watched one video on how to invest in watches. Only thing I left with was beginners don't buy rolex, but this other one is ok ( actually forgot the name of the watch by the end of the video). Then felt like thirty minutes of fantasy math. MHO was this guy doesn't know how to label videos and stay on point, and he wants me to give him money. This paying to detail throws red flags. Didn't Pj say pay attention to details. This channel couldnt come at a better time. This is what Vc's require, a channel that breaks down the alleged monetary opportunities on youtube. Please show us the real deals via the math as you do, i was looking to purchase this course, then i checked classic watch market using terapeak on ebay and the numbers watch academy stated didnt stack up. All i can gather is that there exists a market for capital gains however the market is way to slow for regular cashflow investing.
Thanks for the honest review. I've come to learn there's no free lunch and the way it was being marketed was so suspicious. Whenever you hear things like "Make $10k a month" easy with basically no startup capital or experience and you can buy a lambo" that should be a huge red flag
This is awesome information. As somebody who loves watches, and has the money to buy a lot of inventory, I just don’t see how I’d be able to purchase 8+ Rolexes (or any brand) at good enough discounts to make a 19% profit. I can see finding a special deal here or there, but to find mass quantities of steaks on watch purchases seems fishy.
If the current seller isn’t getting any buyers, on a medium all watch buyers are familiar with, what magic recipe do I have to sell it?

Here is the thing you are basically saying it’s simple which maybe it’s just a simple business, but did you apply the course material? And what were your actual results? Some businesses are just simple. I flip phones for a loving and the course that taught me was very simple just like you stated here. Look at solds on ebay and just offer people less. Post ads that I buy phones on marketplace, OfferUp, craigslist, etc… and that does sound simple as fuck but I actually did it and found that yea alotta people say “fuck off” to low ball offers but there are people who accept them and I make good money off those people who do so it’s just a numbers game. So every 15 people 14 say no but the one that does thats $100 and so if I get 30 leads a day I make $200 a day. Very simple business but if you actually do it the shit works. I haven’t taken this course so I’m not defending it but it seems you were turned off by the simplicity because you were looking for some magically deep info that maybe you don’t need to flip a watch. Always better to review from a stand point of actually using the info. but thanks for video and your input.

This was phenomenal! I have been a watch collector for just shy of 40 years now. His stuff appears on my feed a lot. Even in some of his youtube videos I see him say some stuff that is demonstrably incorrect and the hook of his flex is not appealing to me.
Over the years I have had the honor of getting to know some watchmakers, designers, owners of watch companies and jewelry stores, respectable grey market dealers, and other assorted people in the industry.
I consider myself a savvy buyer and I usually acquire for 40% off going rate with patience. But I have been burned twice in 38 years of collecting. Here is the rub, both times have been in the last 3 years. The point of my rant?
In some ways I know as much or more than many of the dealers out there. I have friends who forgot more than I will ever know. I can still get conned and have wasted money. Some person taking a course who has never so much as worked night shift in a hock shop will be a lamb to the slaughter. And unlike youtube land, most watch dealers that are making a living are not doing it in multimillion dollar mansions owning multiple exotics while having time to get swoll are the gym.
If your channel is giving people realistic information that these social media based snake oils grifters don't give, your work is necessary.

It all depends on smarts, and yes, capital plays a big role too.
But there are some guys making a killing brokering watches with very little capital.
Real estate isn't for everyone just like watch trading isn't.
Really appreciate this video, I'm in the course this is my 2nd month. As a newbie it's really hard. The videos are OK, yet confusing. I'm still horrible at charting and it's hard to get time with person who recruited me(busy). I'm interested in technical TA/trading and I'm starting to notice their global zoom calls are all about "upgrading" , upselling, and classic MLM signs.., If you "recruit" 2 or 4 people, your membership is waived. The people seem to be quite advanced in messager/discord and its intimidating to ask questions. I don't know yet,, I'm going to complete the course and make a decision., honestly crypto youtubers have made me wayyyy more money than this academy,, I also got hit up by IM Academy a year ago (WORST MLM) & WFG.. So I know the signs. If I am good with MBA I'll be back to update or delete this comment 😊.

This video confirmed my believe that watch training academy was not right. I did the free intro course and it was almost 2 hours of smoke. Thank savings people money!! 👍
Dont forget that the income on the gains is you fund it with post tax money, but its taxed at ordinary income(no 401 tax shealter or 1031 exchanges) AND if held for longer than a year the capital gain is a higher UNFAVORABLE collectable item.
Overall its a terrible asset class in terms of risk/return AND taxes.

@@kayn6858 A tax free state such as Montana doesn't have sales tax (which is good), but federal tax for individual and entities still apply.
You can try another country if you want, but you'll just drive up cost with other operating fee abroad.
Watch trading is speculation with markets price and risks with potentials for phony watches scams. Your taxes is unfavorable and market is risky.

Yo man this info can be misinforming as well man. I actually have the course. Mel said he went thru it 2 times 100 of hours of talking to dealers ppl etc. but NEVER mentions the facebook page that discusses real peoples sales with pictures and screenshots. HE left out a lot of what this course offers. Like every business its a risk that takes time and focus. All on you at the end of day. Idk why but review was pretty bias man like idk 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️. cant put ur trust in nobody man! take the risks yourself!!!!!
