@@jacobsperry1460 Before they changed up somethings for the tour of Little Mermaid, there was a character named Carlotta, who was the head maid. She originally sang those lines and then when the tour happened, they changed some things including taking out Carlotta entirely.
Yes, it’s a Caribbean version in the movie’s “For the first time”; so much better than these lyrics and the music is more creative. This is a cute song but not as substantial and sounds a bit ditzy lol. Nice for little girls.
I think this fits Ariel in the cartoon more whereas the new song for the live action fits that Ariel. Only thing I didn’t like about the new song is that it emphasizes how the humans eat fish and how that is a threat to Ariel’s friends, which is uh… something better left out I think lol.

It's about time Ariel is being less shallow of Eric's handsome looks by in thoughts of her song as Sweet, sincere that she also likes Eric's good personality that's why I like about her better with my expectations for her to be a real good guy heroine character to have morals of the obvious.
Can I just add to the thousands of people appreciating how beautiful and sweet Sierra's voice is, like wow I hope I can sing like that one day (I got an audition for this in a couple weeks, wish me luck guys🤞)
