Fresh L is definitely my most favorite guest of the show so far! He’s a natural , giving us a co-host vibes rather than just a guest. Great show as always guys!! ❤️❤️
Great episode guys, really enjoyed it 👌🏽. Fresh L sounds so sure of himself, what he likes and doesn't like. He's definitely not someone that will bow to peer pressure or blindly follow trends and that's cool. I'm intrigued by people who are sure that a 9-5 isn't for them, I like structure and routine, so I don't enjoy the unpredictable nature of doing your own thing. But it's not sustainable to depend on salary alone in today's Nigeria. Anyhow, no risk no rewards. And I agree, we've become so desensitised to trauma in Nigeria. Some things are just normal to us now.
alot of us can agree that returning to Naija is a risk of action...even if its not, the grind is real...stay focused and get ur money up, forget love...billing no dey stop
This podcast touched heavy points on the reality here as a Nigerian and how you can’t escape certain things . You’ll be hustling and would still not have figured it out FR .. 😂😂. Loved how natural the conversations went and the reality that comes to play either as a privileged kid or not , it all depends on your own hustle here at the end of the day, things got worse during this Gen -Z era . I hope we figure it out in all the madness . Love your podcast
You guys should try having the perspectives of average Nigerians on. Mure was collecting over a 100k in a 9 - 5 around 2017..some people still don't get paid that in Nigeria of 2022
This📌 Anyways, they can only speak out of experience but I hope they invite an average Nigerian guest or Voxpop kinda thing. The pressure is on Lagos vicinity almost all the time.
This island/mainland thing made me laugh cuz its so true and there's levels to it, I feel like Nigerians are constantly looking for ways to make a distinct even when it's not necessary, one thing that comes to mind is the way people in lagos talk about lagos, it's almost like if you're not in lagos you're not in nigeria, lol not just lagos though Abuja people too get am for body 🤣🤣
One the most interesting episodes. I really enjoyed it .. very relatable and similar to what we face in my country.. I also the way you guys are open and real in your discussions
Another great episode! And I peeped you guys answering my question in the last episode. Thank you! ☺️ I really enjoyed the segment about SARS and dealing with the police, I would love to hear even more about that (episode topic 🤔) and teaching IJGBs (which I would be) or just young Nigerian/black men about police experience and tips/advice on how to move/deal with police. Hearing that Mayowa is getting arrested unnecessarily is so disheartening. Awesome job as always though
Peace, brothas. I'm a Black American woman & I've watched every episode thus far. Your content is insightful & entertaining. I have a question: As we have a full understanding of your thoughts about Lagos women (I say that in jest), what are your thoughts/opinions on dating internationally (specifically American women), whether you have or haven't (I'm aware of Michael's experience in the US). Just curious because I currently talk to a Nigerian cutie & he's something special. 😉 I think if more American women met nice Nigerian men, American men would have a whole problem! LOL
Getting one’s wants out of the way seems a little far fetched because however trivial wants may seem, they’re enough of a driving force to feel dissatisfied. I’ve found that not settling and being with someone who is a merge of your wants and needs seems the best way to approach this. Also, FreshL’s voice literally sounds like honey, damn.
My 2cent on gift-giving; anyone can give gifts, but it takes a true lover to give thoughtful gifts. The word to know is thoughtful, cause for you to be able to do that at a friendship level or relationship level. You must be connected to someone on a deep level, to know what is right for someone, not what you think someone will appreciate. And most times, it's not tangible it's more intangible.
That's the thing, it is not normal and it is not something to look at with a glass half full mentality. Being stopped and arrested and having guns in your face should not be something you expect. This is not something we should be getting used to. We process trauma by laughing it off but it doesn't change the fact that it is trauma.
