@@ABC-ik9vj nah orbs are great in general. Actually essential to his kit. And are extra good here to put pressure on Steve without committing. Counter does suck but it has its place in this match up. And the flares at all levels can threaten and even simply catch players coming back to stage. It would at least give more mix than just spamming back air over and over and not threatening off stage at all. Watch Ned’s sets against Jake and Onin and you’ll see how valuable seph’s specials are in this match up
KEN honestly deserved to lose this one. It was exceedingly obvious that he didn't know how to play this matchup, since he was basically ignoring his B button the whole time (which is ironic, since he's also a Sonic main); Scintilla in particular would have essentially guaranteed a stock versus Minecart at times and yet it went basically unused. KEN opting for ad nauseum back-airs over tools more relevant to this matchup lead to him losing a matchup that should have easily been in his favor.
Seph is one of steves losing matchups 'cause he is a swordie with long range and good options. Like a lot of people commented already, Ken dropped the ball by being predictable by only using a few moves. If you watch Onin vs Ned you will notice that Ned understands what moves to use in the matchup.
Gotta love all the armchair analysts thinking that the best Sephiroth in the world is doing it wrong lmao. It reminds me of how people talk about Big Link and T. Everybody wants to see the specials instead of the one aerial that carries the character.
I love Ken's Seph but man he needs to use the B button. He needs to use counter and side B. His Seph is really good, but it feels incomplete because he doesn't use his whole kit.
side b. down b. neutral b. Please ken, use Seph's specials.
there’s an entire kit and he’s only using one of the laggiest moves in the kit
@@ABC-ik9vj they’re not crap you just don’t know how to utilize them
@@ABC-ik9vj who do you main if u don’t mind me asking

Ken needs to learn Sephiroth’s other moves besides back air
The Australian player prefers Fair and it’s sick
Bro thinks he’s playing cloud
Tho the bair is essential for the matchup i absolutely agree
@@DavionLane lmao
optimal sephiroth play - japan meta
Ken has never actually fought Acola offline, they’ve met once online I think and he played sonic there
officially sure, but who knows about friendlies
Is KEN familiar with the "B" button?

Not to mention how many times Jake sat there and shielded. Ken could’ve gotten a few down smashes and shield breaks leading to an easy stock
If KEN actually started using side B / down B more. He would be much better Seph player. Even neutral B to feint or pressure would be good
Yea I always wanna see him win but he deserved to lose for only using half of sephiroths moves
the better player won
Jake is a beast in Glitch damn. It did look like Ken is fairly unfamiliar in the matchup however, especially when you consider Onin v Ned sets
Damn you would think Ken would have the MU down and Septh would be a great MU against Steve
This was a great set

@crystalblade13Thank you! Someone who gets it!
Jake looks like he gets no sleep
He plays Steve, ofc he wouldn’t 😅
Bad ending
Up B into Up smash. True combo.
Lol Ken only uses back air and the Aussie(forgot how to spell his name my b) only used fair. If we combine their powers they go crazy
I wonder why Ken didn’t try Sonic at all.
Ken please use something else than back air 😭uooohhh
for jp bros
ケンはバックエア以外のものを使ってください😭uooohhh
bro pressing 2 moves the whole game
If ken use down smash at the end 😢

pretty much ye. KEN seems to like B-air only 😅
Scintilla? Shadow flare? Mega flare? Throw something out jeez

thanks Kameme
Where are all the Steve complaint ? Come on dudes. You need to complain about Steve in every videos so TO will ban Steve
セフィロスにリターンが少なすぎないかこの対面…
そう見えるような試合をしてしまったことをKENさんは残念に思ってるだろうね
