@@McMedics As it sits (no pun intended). I was more talking about reversing it for purposes of selling the car in the future with its original seats. You shouldn't have had to do anything that isn't reversible. Whoever is selling those seats should sell as a package anyway. Kinda dumb on their part.
The way the pad is made it's not reversible without adding more parts. You shouldn't have to do anything that isn't reversible but new seats should have all the electronics too, but don't. Genuine seats would.
@@McMedics ohhhh i think i see the issue. Since you have to essentially glue it under the new seat pad? The other that comes to mind is safety. I am fairly certain the actual mclaren seats were autoclaved. I wonder if the same can be said for these china carbon versions are?
@stevenlong4567 correct. He specifically requested not securing the passenger pad when shipping it, others they have. These seats look identical, they may have made them for McLaren
Seat not cheap for any brand or model. Even the basic of Toyota Camry seat with airbag, heat & cold seat + wiring harness expensive. But it worth it after installing it for normal 570 upgrade Senna seat 😎
In fairness you could put the original back together with hog rings. But this is cool because most people think they are plug and play.
You could put it back together but couldn't use it. It would give an airbag fault, and motorized controls wouldn't work, and the heater wouldn't work.
